In todays economy you always have to try to be saavy about the purchases you make right? Well, I recently purchased a few PSP3 games for X-mas and I found out that each one is now $20 less at Target (bummer!) I decided to dig out my receipts and try to get a price adjustment ($40 will fill up my tank of gas). I purchased one of the games at Best Buy and another game I had purchased at Toys R Us. Best Buy will do a price match (woo hoo!!!) but when I called Toys R Us thats when it became obvious why I wont shop there any longer.... 1) For starters when I called I was was on hold for like 15 mins and was disconnected twice. The third time I called an obviously very unhappy employee answered the phone. It became very clear that my objective to understand their price matching policy was not her objective (which was to see how quickly she could dismiss my call). Not sure what Toys R Uss employee training is like, but I would assume that they would train employees on how to be curteous and professional. My guess is that this person might have been absent that day or went out for a long bathroom break when the customer service training class was offered.... I know that it is difficult to find high quality employees now a days, however it would seem to me that if Toys R Us wants to keep any business ensuring that all employees representing the company, exhibit company values would be a priority. 2) No Price Matching Policy- I know that it may be a hassel to shop around for the best price, but if you shop at Best Buy or Target or Walmart (Walmart can be hassel at times) they will do a price match if a few days later you are sickend to see something that you just purchased is significantly cheaper (Remember, You work hard for your $--dont throw it away!!!). Perhaps my review wont improve Toys R Uss customer Service nor the experience that shoppers will have, given that poor customer service reviews have been posted since 2005 and the same problems continue to plague this toy retailer, but for what its worth I feel better hopefully having someone read this and take their business elsewhere. *****Lesson learned:I will ONLY shop at places that offer a price Matching policy AND offer good customer service (lets face it...No one really cares to offer GREAT customer Service anymore). Sorry Toys R Us..You DON"T stand a CHANCE!!

LIE TO PARENTS R US - They advertised items on sale in their weekly ad. Once I got to check-out, the checker claimed my items were excluded. I found out most on sale items were practically scams. Here is just one of six items they pulled a similar trick with - Clerk told me store only had four gaming system bundles to sell at the ad price sent out to the entire town and that they were sold out the first hour. So by check out time, I already felt scammed many times over. I still picked up over three hundred in kid gifts despite being tricked into driving to that store by practically non-existent good deals. As put out as I already was I read the exclusions at the bottom of the one coupon I knew I could use since the cashier claimed it not valid for my items. Cashier rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell me the manager would tell me the same thing. Her tone and body language were disrespect and witchy if you catch my drift by thinking of what starts with a b and rhymes. Like the immature brat that she certainly was, she then called the manager over. Manager claimed my items were not included in the sale and that the coupon should have excluded those items specifically. He was not disrespectful, but was legally wrong and he abruptly walked off to repeat himself like a broken record to the next customer...or should I call us victomers. I will never again leave my house to drive to this store on account of a decent weekly sale or coupon again. This store messed up big. Just moved here from another state. Last year my local ToysRUs did have to give me a few advertised items on sale for twenty percent off but I paid full price...keep in mind the typical mark up is seventy percent...for well over four thousand in childrens gifts for my own kids, nieces, nephews, and for donation gifts. Not only will I not go back again - I am sorry I wasted the gas to drive there. That feeling is a first!

In reference to the Cary NC location, store #8379: Completely unhelpful manager. I purchased an online order for store pick-up in Cary, NC for a Christmas present for my niece. After purchasing the item I found out she already had it and I chose to get her something else instead. The email conformation told me that if the item was not picked up within 5 days it would be refunded to my account. I did not pick up the item within the designated 5 days, but the next week I received an email stating that my order was complete and had been picked up. When I called the store to find out why this was as I had not been in myself, they were unable to help me. They told me that I had to come in and discuss it with them and then referenced me to their online 1-800 number. As I do not live in Cary and it is the day before Christmas this was not an option. After spending an hour on the phone with the 1-800 people they contacted the store and the store manager admitted to the fault telling me that I had to come in to the store to get the refund. After fighting some more I finally got them to refund my money. I am NOT happy with the fact that they were able to list my item as picked up when it was NOT picked up and then they were unable to tell me how it happened or help me in any way. The 1-800 customer service was successful and helpful, but I will not be purchasing again.

Do not waste your time making a registry here. The prices are higher than everywhere else, the customer service stinks, and the gift bags are a joke. My husband and I made a pretty long trip to go to the Babies R Us because we do not have one in our town. Although I could have made (and have since this experience) made my registry with Target and Amazon, I wanted the experience of walking through the aisles with my husband and planning for our first child. What I found here was very much below my expectations. We had to wait nearly 20 minutes for an attendant to come help us set up the registry, to which she just gave us a list of things to add and the scanner. Never once did she say congratulations or offered any advice even though we we first time parents. We walked around the store for about an hour and added everything we wanted and then had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk. Everyone was very short with us (they seemed annoyed to be helping us) and not what you would expect from a baby store. To top it all off, the gift bag had one diaper, a small pack of wipes, and a bunch of EXPIRED coupons.
