The selection is great. Their customer service is beyond frustrating. Every time I have ever been in the store and needed to speak to a sales associate, they have acted as if they didnt really want to be there talking to me. I remember at Christmas I was looking for an item for my son and the lady seemed mad that I asked her to check the stock room. She was gone for 30 seconds and came back to tell me that she didnt see it. As I was leaving without anything because that was what I came for, she passed me with her keys and coat. I felt like she was just ready to leave and didnt care. To show you what customer service should be, Ill tell you what happened at Target. I was looking for the same item, after I left Toys R Us. The associate was talking to me when her manager walked by and asked if she was leaving at 6, which was in five minutes. She told him yes but she STILL stood there and called another store to see if they had it even after I told her it was okay I could talk to another sales associate about it. As for today, I called because I bought a Power Wheels car from Toys R Us for my sons birthday. The speakers that attach to the back were not working so I called to see what I could do. It is still under warranty so I assumed they would be able to help me. The first person I spoke with got a manager. The manager said they could replace the car. I asked if it would be an assembled car because it took 5 hours to put this one together. She said and I quote, "No. Thats manufacturers fault not ours. You would have to assemble a new car yourself." ....I will not be shopping there ever again. The fee for them to assemble it isnt much. Its just the principle. They sold me something faulty. I am inconvenienced already. They should be nice enough to forgo the fee and assemble it for free.

Id read reviews of people saying this is such a terrible place, so I was a bit wary heading over, but they were the only place I could find in/near Durham that sold Wiffle ball sets. The store looks old and outdated on the outside, but that was the worst part. Inside, it was well-kept. They had good selection. Customer service was great for me. I had four different employees ask me if I needed any help and the woman at the check out was quite courteous.

It has a very unassuming, bordering on homely, appearance but inside I have frequently been transformed back to my state of child-like wonder. My two little boys love visiting to see what new things they can find. Prices and selection are competitive with any online retailer, so the convenience and fun factors make it a special trip. Their reward program and special events top off the list as far as nice extras.

Its not often that I write a bad review but I must say for a store that was not busy I received less than average customer service. in my experience I purchase an item online to pick up at the store. When I got there it took approximately 30 minutes to 45 minutes to receive my merchandise. Maybe it was a bad day but I thought the customer service could have been much better.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Asked to hold item, they initially said they would, but didnt. They also said they dont hold sale items. They really do not care about your service or the satisfaction of the customers. Id much rather shop at another toy story, doubt Toys R Us will get anymore of my business.

Tried to buy a bike for a girl in need... no flexibility in pricing... unwilling to talk to management on my behalf. All I needed was the tire/rim. Helpful and polite but no flexibility... arrggg.
