Toys City at Cary Towne Center in Cary, NC. This is a dishonestly run business. Their return policy is very strict relative to their competitors — no refunds, exchanges only within 14 days. Technically speaking, there is nothing wrong except the inconvenience. However, they apply it not only to plain unwanted items, but to defective items as well. Given that most of the stuff they cell is cheaply made and may not work properly right out of the box, this becomes much more than a mere inconvenience. Basically, this is a rip-off. And given that there are many large reputable retailers in town, such as ToysRus, Target, etc., it is absolutely not worth spending your money in a small store with a limited selection of items and very unfriendly attitude toward customers.

Toys City is a small, local store, so it has a completely different feel than a big, chain-operated toy store. The personal experience is much more present than in a Toys R Us or Target and for the most part, prices are absolutely comparable. Even if they are not, the sales associate has a little leeway to negotiate because it is a locally owned/operated toy store. Their return policy is pretty lenient and they have nifty little toys that you cant find anywhere else in addition to some of the mainstream toys. The owners are very nice and have kids of their own.

Purchased quadcopter and clerk demonstrated it from the box, which made me feel more comfortable. After getting it home, over an hour drive away, the rechargable battery will not recharge fully. No refunds or exchange creates an unfavorable response from me. I am most disappointed, especially since the back side of the receipt is stamped and I did not see that until now.
