I live in France and my family could not come to celebrate my moms 80th, an important family event. We wanted something special, out-of-the-ordinary for her; the whole family is artistic and we like innovation in all walks of life. I explained my difficult request to Steve, truly wanting to bring fields and woodland walks to her door, but with a bit of impertinence, class and originality...AND for a low budget...! Though anxious about my vague but heartfelt wishes, I finished the phone call feeling like Id had a loving massage. Steve listened, understood, spoke a little French, had many great ideas. The flowers were a hit, perfectly suited to the occasion, and two folks sent me pix of the arrangement, which, I repeat, cost the price of a regular low-budget bouquet. Steve is very simply passionate about his work and from the get-go I felt I could trust him to do a great job. Great old-time service, sharing his love for flowers and people. So easy and soothing ! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Steve and his marvelous customer service and his amazing abilities. I live in Florida and called him to order a funeral arrangement, really having no idea what I wanted to send. He suggested a bowl of mixed succulents, and, although I couldnt be there to see it, my daughter shared with me how beautiful it was. The suggestion was perfect for the situation and Steves presentation was impressive. He also knew firsthand who to contact at the funeral home to ensure that the arrangement arrived at the right time and in the right location. I could not have asked for better or more professional service! But I also appreciated how warm and friendly he was, making me feel as though all of his customers, whether he knows them personally or not, receive the same high standard of service. Thanks, Steve!!

While I cant attest to the quality of the arrangement since I just sent it to someone in the hospital, I can say that I think its poor business to charge a $3.49 CONVENIENCE FEE just because I ordered online. Actually, isnt that backwards from what most businesses do? If you call in and take up an employees time on the phone, I can see a convenience fee, but by going online and taking care of everything myself, including payment, not sure what the fee is for. You should most definitely address this when someone is placing an online order. I also paid over $9 to have this delivered to Mission Hospital which is only 2.5 miles from this florist. Oh well, hope the arrangement is nice. UPDATE...The owner was nice enough to contact me via phone yesterday and explained the fees. I will use this florist again if needed in the Asheville area.

My daughter had her first recital this past weekend and I wanted to get her a bouquet after her performance. I called several florists before I got to Merrimon Florist and they were the first one that new exactly what I was talking about! Our arrangement was beautiful and at a great price! My daughter loved the arrangement and kept on sniffing them the rest of the day. My mother-in-law called soon after I had ordered mine and purchased another arrangement for my daughter and the staff made sure to make that one extra special too! Both were beautiful and we are so glad that we were able to give my daughter something special for her first recital. Thanks for all of your help! The staff was wonderful to work with!

The staff at Merrimon Florist are truly amazing. When my friends mother was on her death bed at Mission hospital, I placed an order for same-day delivery to her room, to comfort my friend. When they arrived, my friends mother had already passed away and my friend was en route to her home in Franklin. Merrimon Florist called her to ask if there was a preferred florist in Franklin where they could forward the order, and a good address to deliver the flowers. They emailed me personally to tell me they had done this. I was amazed with their good service and sensitivity during a time of mourning, and it meant the world to my friend. Ill never use FTD for Asheville flowers again. Merrimon is my new florist!

This company went above and beyond for me. I was sending flowers for a funeral (last minute) and I was states away. I didnt give them the correct information on the deceased when I filled out the online order. They called quickly to correct my error but by the time they tried to deliver the flowers, the funeral was already in session. They spoke with me and wanted to send the flowers to a relatives home. Since the address was out of their delivery location, they paid another florist to deliver the flowers without charging me an additional fee (although they had every right to charge extra for doing that for me). I was so amazed at how patient, kind and accomadating this company was. Highly recommend!!!

I ordered an arrangement of roses for a dear friend in celebration of her incredible talents that she brings to her workplace. She absolutely loved them and it appears that everyone in her office also were overwhelmed about the size and color of th ed roses ok n the arrangement. I wish I was able to be there to witness t hem in person as she sent no less than 10 pictures each time telling me that the pictures didnt even come close to the real thing. I am very pleased with Merrimon Flor is and their customer service and their craftsmanship in their arrangements. Thank you so much, you made a very deserving, hard working, beautiful friend very happy. I wont buy flowers anywhere else. Job well done.

I found out late last night that I would be unable to attend a funeral for a precious friend, whose service is being held today a couple of hours from where I live. So I wanted to at least send flowers, but wasnt sure who to call or if it would even be possible with very short notice. I googled Asheville Florists and Merrimon was first on the list and had the best reviews. I now know why. I spoke with Steven, the owner, and I dont know that Ive ever received better customer service. The timeframe was no problem, the professionalism impeccable, and I have no doubt the arrangement will exceed my expectations. Thank you, Steven, for a job well done.

Several weeks ago I called Merrimon to have them deliver flowers to a friend in the hospital. Because of her being in ICU for so many days, it was about 3 days before they could actually deliver them. But Kurt and the other folks there were fantastic. Kurt kept me apprised every day and was so nice to deal with. They were finally able to deliver the flowers when my friend got into a room and the flowers were beautiful! Since I live in VA and she is in NC, I picked Merrimon Florist because of the wonderful reviews it has. So I want to add my own. Thank you Kurt and everyone there! You guys are the best!!

I randomly chose to call Merrimon Florist from among the Google listings, as I now live 800 miles away. I needed to have flowers delivered to my mom in the hospital. The man on the phone was super friendly, informative, and accommodating. He was upfront about the delivery fee, but also told me that they deliver directly to the patients room instead of to a general delivery area in the hospital. This was great to know. The best part is, the flowers were arranged and delivered to the hospital WITHIN AN HOUR! My mom sent a picture and they look great--artistic and bright, as I requested.
