My fiance and I chose a wedding band for him at Helzberg diamonds and I bought it for him after he went back home (he lives out of state and we are only able to see each other every few months). Our wedding date had to be postponed and the last time he came to town I decided to show him the ring rather than continue to keep it a surprise. When he tried it on, it was too big so today I went back to Helzberg Diamond store in the Asheville mall. They were totally unwilling to exchange the size 10 ring (the most common mens size ring) and get me one that was a half size smaller. It had never been out of the box other than for my fiance to try it on. They claimed they couldnt key it into the register to exchange it although I had the receipt. I tried to reason with them, even being willing to buy a $36 policy to be able to "fit their policy requirement". Although the manager was polite, the sales person I had dealt with was very rude. I walked away with a ring that is too big and with a knowing that this store is not one I will ever buy from again nor would I recommend it to anyone wanting a good experience when buying jewelry. I work in sales and know how very easy it would have been to help me.

Unfortunately I had an amethyst fall off a tennis bracelet in 39 days of purchase. Not high quality.
