This store is a joke and their special sale is anything but special. I was invited to a special sale that was, according to the letter I received, by invitation only. It was being held, again, according to the letter, only from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Tues, Wed., and Thurs. The only night I could go was Wed. night. Unfortunately, it rained that night and I had a horrendous commute home from Greenwich. I got to the store at 8:20. But I knew which dryer I wanted and was ready to make the purchase as soon as I walked through the door. I was shocked to learn that the price was higher than all other stores in the area. It was priced at $418 with free delivery. Everybody else had it at $399 with free delivery. But I waited for this sale thinking I might be able to do a little bit better. Berger had the same dryer for sale last month at $366 with free delivery, but, unfortunately, I missed that sale. Apparently, this store waived the delivery fee but attached it, or some other unknown fee, to the price of the dryer, raising the price higher than the regular sales price, and getting away with calling it a special sale. Today, only 2 days after the sale ended, that same dryer has been reduced to $398 and there is now a delivery fee. If thats not bad enough, I told the salesman the price was more than other stores in the area and that I would need to think about the purchase. I also told him Id come in the next night if I decided to make the purchase. He said I could also come back during regular business hours. I mentioned the special sale letter I got and about the sale hours only being at night. He said, "We cant raise the prices back up during the day and then lower them at night. This sale is for anybody who walks through the door." I wondered why no one had asked me for my invitation. No one had asked me for my invitation because it was a mock sale, made up to get you through the door. I was furious and decided right there and then I would not be purchasing my dryer, or anything else, from this store. This store uses very bad business practices.

Im very disappointed in the service I received today. My family has purchased our appliances from Atlantic for many years. Im sorry to say that the sales people arent always very friendly and whenever I go in I feel as if Im disturbing them. However, I am a loyal person and since other family members use them as well I just tried to disregard it and continue to use them. Todays experience has made the decision to stop shopping there a simple one. We purchased a refrigerator from them in 2008. By June 2011 we had to replace it because it needed a part that almost exceeded the cost of a new one. Now, our 4.5 year old refrigerator needs a new compressor. Atlantics repair person is very nice but unfortunately couldnt do anything for us. So now we have another repair that will cost more than the replacement of a refrigerator again. When I called the office to talk with someone about my disappointment and to figure out how quickly I can get another refrigerator, the person who answered the phone gave me the manufacturers phone number and told me to call them. He was very rude and told me "I dont know what to tell ya"......then hung up on me. Yes, he hung up on me. I couldnt keep the disappointment out of my voice Im sure, but I was not rude or unkind to him in any way. I never expect anything for free and I am not an unreasonable person by any means. How I was treated today was completely unnecessary. As a realtor, Ive referred so many clients to Atlantic over the years. Not anymore. You should work on training your employees to handle customer service with a bit more professionalism and caring. 3/3/16 Richard, thank you for taking the time this morning to discuss this with me. Although I have purchased my appliances at Atlantic Appliances since my move to Yorktown 35+ years ago, I will no longer be doing so. I recently bought a small fridge for my 81 year mother, on a fixed income. Her old fridge was working again the night of the order, as I was cleaning it out. Therefore, more than 24 hours prior to delivery I cancelled the order. Tom, the sales man informed me that there would be a restocking fee and gave my mother a discount on that fee charging her $50. No mention or disclosure was made of a fee, should the order be cancelled, at time of purchase. I would expect this type of service from a big box store, but not from a "neighborhood" store for a long time, loyal customer.

I dont think we could have had a better experience. We purchased 7 appliances and an outdoor grill, along with an extended service contract, from Atlantic Appliance in Yorktown in 2013. The prices were competitive and the sales staff helped us with every decision. Our appliances havent been perfect (the typical Kitchenaid rust on "stainless" steel and some other issues) but the folks at Atlantic have helped us out with every question and small problem. We havent had to use the service contract because theyve been so helpful in troubleshooting. Thanks!

We recently purchased a Wolf range from Atlantic appliance and could not be more pleased overall with their level of sales knowledge, installation support and their extremely professional personnel. Fran offered up points of view that helped us to think differently about what we should consider. When it came time for the installation Joe and Marcello were really incredible in their attention to detail and care with the installation and movement of the new and old ranges. Overall a very positive experience.

Weve been purchasing appliances from Atlantic for over 15 years and they are our first stop for large appliance items. Weve purchased stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers, and microwaves. They are the same or less in cost compared to big box stores. The sales staff are great, knowledgeable, and spend time with each customer.
