Ive been frequently going to REIs to look at cycling gear, as I have nothing better to do since Im 16 and it is the summer. REI is local to me and I enjoy going up there. Although today I was approached by the store manage who then told me that Im in there quite often and Im making one of the store employees uncomfortable. The manager then told me my behavior is unacceptable there and if it continues she will have to ask me to leave.. I questioned what "behavior" is not acceptable. She then told me that I asked an employee for her number last week, and that I seemed to be coming daily to "stalk" her. I replied with "Im sorry if I made anyone feel uncomfortable. I come here often to look at cycling gear as this store is local to me. Im sure you have the wrong person, I never asked an employee for her phone number or anyone for that matter here." she then replied with "I find that hard to believe. This employee is rather persistent and is sure that it is you.", I of course denied all of her false accusations, and even went as far as apologizing to the store manager for making her employee uncomfortable. Before the manager approached me I felt I was being watched the whole time I was in the store by another store employee. To make sure I would go from one side of the store to the other to see if he would follow. Sure enough he did. The whole experience seriously tripped my anxiety. If I ever return Ill have my go pro on my chest in case I make anyone feel "uncomfortable" again.

So I normally go to this REI and I never had a problem. Staff are always friendly. Except for today June 17, 2017. My husband called to see if they can install the group set on his bikes and the bike mechanic on the phone told him "they dont typically do work there on the weekends" my husband thought this was strange and proceeded to ask him if this was for all REI locations and the mechanic stated "no just this one." Im not sure if he just didnt want to do his job and just being lazy or if this really is REIs policy that work on bikes are not done on the weekends.

My negative review is based on the Bike mechanics. I called this morning and asked about a repair and the bike mechanic told me they dont normally do repairs on the weekend. So I asked if this is the policy of all REIs and he said no its not, its just here. I find that very odd because if I went in instead of calling would I still be turned away? This is a good reason to close my REI credit card and no longer be a supporter. My Bicycle is currently being repaired elsewhere.

They dont give u any credit toward parking if you are making returns or exchanges. Worse than that if you bought an item at a location outside of Yonkers or had it shipped to you and you live outside Yonkers and you attempt to exchange it here - they will hit you with Yonkers sales tax just to exchange the item. Been a member for a long time but each year I find myself finding better values elsewhere or on Amazon more and more. Sorry REI but you guys really fell off.

This store is a great REI. Its amazing to see how much stuff gets returned here! They have an entire section dedicated to used goods. While I love the store and the staff here, I hate the location. If you arrived by car and you parked in one of the garages, make sure you leave before 4pm or youll just be stuck in the longest line to get out of the garage.

Great store. Unfortunately all must pay for parking regardless. REI gives you $1 towards your $3.00 of parking. But get this - the greedy landlords make the employees pay for parking as well! I"m not an employee and I will not patronize the stores in this complex (Whole Foods, Theatres, Modells etc) due to this kind of obnoxious greed!

Expensive parking!!!! $3.25 for 6 hours is the least expensive. Who needs 6 hours to shop? Fall2011 prices were around $1.. Loved the new store, great selection and classes. Meters are about a block away.. You may want drive around the store to find meters. NYC Houston street store is an alternative.

Went for a Bike Drive Train Maintenance class and... got a lesson on a complete bike tuneup and clean up! Including chain maint, tire swap, cassette cleaning and derailer/brake adjustments. Thank you Ed for a time well spent!

Great store. Like other REIS this store has a great selection of clothing and equipment for outdoor activities. It pays to become a member. Staff has always been helpful and friendly in this store.

I was never bothered about the paring, this store is great, and I think they worth the 3$ parking, since they have great specials that worth so much more than 3$. Helpful people and quality products.
