I bought a car from Bob at hertz a couple of weeks ago. I drove almost five hours to get the car because it was the color I wanted so Bob treated the sale like a done deal because I was in a pinch and essentially it was. The car looked fine and on the busy road where the test drive took place I couldnt hear anything wrong. While sitting through the process of signing paperwork with Bobs boss I felt very annoyed, I paid cash and handed him a check for more than ten grand and without giving me the price of the protection plan he told me to "go home and ask my parents or my boyfriend". If I wasnt in such a pinch I would have walked out. Two miles down the road from the dealership I pulled into a gas station to check the tire pressure because the car was helicoptering. None of the tires matched, one was inflated to 47 and one 21. I matched everything up and four days later found myself putting air in again. And then I took it to get inspections done and the mechanic told me to take it to ford immediately because it was shuddering. Ford replaced my transmission and clutch and told me there were two tires with failed patches that needed to be replaced. The dealership obviously over inflated the tires to hide this. Thankfully I was still under the ford protection plan of three years/36k miles so I was covered for the transmission and clutch. I am however out a day of rental car and two tires. I tried to call Bob and he didnt return my calls. I gave a fake name and called again and got through to him and he basically told me I was out of luck. Would not recommend, they obviously knew what they were doing

I purchased a car on May 20, 2016 at the Smithtown location. I would like to thank the management and Sean, my salesperson for making buying a used car a great experience. The car was well priced and in great condition. If anyone needs to buy a used vehicle in that area, I strongly recommend they patronized this dealership. I had a slight problem that was basically my fault and went back the following Monday and the problem was taken care of immediately. I highly recommend them. Thank you very much!

Purchased a late model car and pleased with no haggle price well below Kellys Blue Book. Updated 11/17/16: Contacted Hertz 3 times over last couple of months where email is acknowledged but no actual response. Had tire fail due to patch failure on sidewall. According to tire center, tires are not patched (usually) in that location. Makes me wonder about their maintenance in general. Hmm. Review was 5 stars, now 2.

My sales rep was Bob and he was extremely helpful and nice. I really enjoyed how easy and stress free my purchase was. No hidden fees or any gimmicks. The financial rep was a total jerk when I refused the extended warranty. If it wasnt for him I would give this place 5 stars.
