I started going to Checkerhills Farm for special dietary cat food, and I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. I later took my LARGE Great Pyrenees dog in for grooming, and the groomer and staff took great care of her. She has a very challenging coat, mats super easily, and despite our efforts to keep her coat under control she had some major matting. The groomer took extra time with her, and my dog had never looked more beautiful. She seemed comfortable with the groomer and not overly anxious to leave, which made me feel that her experience there had been a good one, despite the fact that she had never been to a groomer before, and she doesnt like the clippers which they did have to use on her abdomen and under her legs to some degree. She didnt seem traumatized by her visit and walked happily and proudly out of the store. The whole staff was kind to me and to her and she seemed to feel pampered. Her coat was absolutely gleaming. I havent had any other experience with groomers, but to me that was a perfect outcome. I would recommend this store and this groomer to other dog owners.

Jackie was sweet and kind, and had no trouble when my dog would no longer allow me to groom him. But he didnt nip at her. With her he was sweet and nice. She had no trouble at all doing a job which took me hours. Im going back! A big chore just turned into a little errand.
