Very bad service, took my bike there the 1st time to get tires and some electrical work done. It took over a month to get my bike back. When I got it back there was a scraping noise from the rear end that wasnt there before. My front brakes were soft and the master cylinder wasnt working right. So I brought it back to them and they said no problem theyd fix it. I had an oil leak from the oil tank, and the front forks were bottoming out. Long story short they ended replacing the oil pump at a cost of $600 parts and labor. Said the couldnt figure out how to service the forks, it took me 5 seconds to figure It out. The rear end was in worse shape then when I brought it in and the bike still leaks oil from the oil tank. Bottom line they are hacks who dont care about customer safety or taking prude in their work. Dont ever go there for any maintenance.

I recently had Total Cycle mount and balance two tires for my KLR650. The rear tire was mounted correctly and front tire was mounted incorrectly. It was mounted in the wrong rotational direction. I called them to report problem at 6pm on Tuesday and their published hours say they are open until 8pm. There was no answer so I left a message. When I spoke with John the next day he suggested that the original tire must have been on backwards and assured him that wasnt the case. I then returned to the shop to have it mounted correctly. I picked up the tire and took it home and installed it on my bike and noticed that the bead was not seated correctly. I called again and he said to bring it back and they would "just pop that out for me". I would be suspect of the mechanical aptitude of this company.

I cant even give this place a star. The techs are pleasant enough to deal with, but when I picked up my bike and rode off the lot, my front tire just about fell off. They did not mount it correctly after putting on new tires. I now question whether or not I even needed new tires. When they put on the new tires, they were supposed to take off the exhaust pipe and replace the rings in the back. Instead, they did not take off the pipes and simply cramped down the screws on the old rings causing major backfiring. Further, they charged me for a new tube and simply put my old tube back in causing a flat tire. The service is absolutely sub-standard. Just keep riding and find yourself a place that knows what theyre doing. How is this place still in business??!!

Had fork oil filled into my forks. They did a good job but there were some things that made me weary. They gave me a price in the initial quote but then the next day tried to insist that they quoted me a higher price, but they "reduced" the price anyway. I brought my own fork oil in, but they needed another container to fill the forks which is fine, but I wouldve preferred they asked me before just adding it onto to the price. Lastly I brought dust seals in and asked if they could throw them on the forks while they were at it and they said yes, so I went to my car to get them and gave them to them for that reason. Was dissapointed when they didnt install them and when I asked why they didnt install them, they said "No, we were just filling the forks with oil."

I was on a road trip just passing through Rochester when my bike had a few problems. I showed up one morning without an appointment and despite them being insanely busy, they were able to get me up on a lift for half an hour and diagnose the problems I was having. Showing up and trying to squeeze your bike in should not be your plan A - I was lucky and they were good enough to hook me up. They turned out to be correct when I got to my destination and had time to have it properly fixed. The service reps and mechanic were very knowledgeable and helpful. If I lived in the area, Total Cycles would have a permanent customer. Anyone who is looking for a mechanic in Rochester should absolutely give them a try! They did right by me!

Had no bike for a few years, recently got back in to it and needed to find a good mechanic. Bought bike from private sale and it needed new tires. These guys ordered the tires for me and got me right in. I priced tires from several stores and sources and their price was right in line with everyone else, but it was the attitude and quickness that sold me. They have a Harley mechanic and a metric mechanic and they dont treat you any differently whether you bring in a dirt bike or a $30,000 trike (Ive witnessed both!). I feel that I really lucked out finding this place (FYI-Just north of Papa Johns on E Henrietta Rd, right behind Total Car Care garage).

There are other bikes shops, but I have found these guys to be the most knowledgeable and friendly. They dont act like everything is rocket science or try to bloat labor. I took my bike in for an inspection and to replace a stripped bolt. They were on it in seconds. I couldnt believe how fast they did all the work. I was in and out in no time and he helped me load the bike back on the trailer again. I will most certainly be back. Thanks guys for being an honest business! --KLX650

These guys are really awesome. They are very nice and dont talk down to you like many other places Ive experienced around Rochester. I recently brought my bike in for new tires and rear brake work. They did an excellent job with both and Im very happy I decided to get the work done there. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs work done to their bike. You wont be disappointed.

Nice, ethical, helpful guys, but theyve done some really simple things incorrectly on my bikes. I got a tire mounted, but it wasnt seated right; Ive ordered tires that I was assured would fit, but didnt (admittedly its a very old bike); and Ive had wheels mounted directionally backward. Every time, theyve been ready and willing to help and usually eat the charges based on their mistakes.

Best motorcycle service EVER. Adam is an honest, respectable mechanic who will price you fairly and take care of you quickly! He will collaborate with you and inform you of the bike if you have mechanical knowledge and interest, a rare trait among normally stubborn grease monkeys. Excellent shop and ordered parts arrive in a timely manner! Go to total cycle!

Absolutely great service! I needed a NY State Safety inspection before a holiday weekend and they worked me into their shop schedule on short notice. They knew their stuff, even on an uncommon European bike and I really appreciate their commitment to their customers. Ill go back when I need something else, and Ill recommend them to my friends.
