Went to the Riverhead store on 6/6/15 looking for new screws for license plates; asked a gentleman by the name of Ernie and he asked me for one of the old screws but told him could not get them out to which he responded that he would gladly try to do it, which he did and then went to hardware aisle and got me new screws. I am a senior citizen that cannot do things I used to do so this gesture has been greatly appreciated and even though spoke to Mgr. Eric about him, also wanted to post this . Thanks Ernie. If you have half a clue about what your doing, you know more than the people who work in this store. Usually you get stuck finding what you need by yourself. Also, the hours suck. They used to close at 9pm. I drove 16 miles to get a box of screws. I arrived at 8:05pm only to be turned away. Then it was off to Lowes, again to get what I needed. What ever happen to the Home Depot from many years ago that had knowledgeable people and a sense of customer service importance. Bob/Jamesport

The store has everything you might need for home improvements. Really outstanding selection. However, the service is frustratingly inconsistent. There are times when help is easy to get and other times when I just walk out because I cant get someone to help me. Lowes has consistently high service and I try to go there even though its much further from my house.

Had gone in to pick up some floor tile and dealt with Ali and must say was a very good experience and recommend anyone in Riverhead to speak with Ali was quite impressed by his professionalism and knowledge and for me to say that about Home Depot is a tremendous compliment.

Its one of the better ones. I find that the workers though older are much more knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great selection of items and prices are reasonable. Like all their stores it can get hectic here...

After getting email from Milwaukee Tool about their new Laser Measuring Tool, I stopped in Home Depot to look it over. Dont bother, HD has NONE available and, the salesman has NEVER seen one.

If you call expect to be put on permanent hold or disconnected. The people who work there are very good - but reaching them without entering the store is almost impossible
