What horrible customer service from the College Point, NY He Depot. I made an online purchase and selected the option to pick up my purchase at the store. I received a call from the store and missed the call. The voicemail I received was a five minute message of employees just socializing in the background. Which is interesting because when I called back I was immediately placed on hold by customer service rep Colletta. After being on hold for 11 minutes I was disconnected from the call. So I called back. I was then placed on hold for another 10 minutes. Colletta then finally came back to tell me that they did not have the item in my order. She was offer to sell me a lesser item. I asked several times if the order could be transferred to another store that had the product. I received no answer to my attempts to get an answer to the question and was placed on hold for another five minutes. At the end of the five minutes my call was once again disconnected. I called back again. This time I asked to speak to a manager. I got Ashante. She placed me on hold for a few minutes and explained to me that my order was cancelled. At this point I was extremely frustrated. My order was cancelled and I would receive my refund in 3-5 business days. I became upset and expressed that to the store manager. Her response was that if I was going to get upset then she couldnt help me. This comment made me even more upset. I finally calmed down and asked how she could help me. He solution was that she could sell me another item at which point I would need to pay additional money to Home Depot. At this point I was just interested in filling a complaint with their corporate office. I called the 800 number. In his defense, the customer service representative at the 800 number was very nice. His told me his name was Cheddar. But Ashante and the College Point staff had messed the order up so much that there was no way I could get my products that night without paying Home Depot additional money. I explained that at this point I had lost my patience and refused to pay another dime to Home Depot. So I declined. I got up at 6 a.m. the next morning and went over to Lowes and received excellent customer service. I was in and out of their in 30 minutes and found everything I was looking for at excellent prices. Thank God there was a competitor in my area that valued me as a customer and was able to help me. I think Ill shop at Lowes from this point forward.

By far the worst Home Depot Ive ever visited. Three trips, all a disaster. No one seems to respect the customers time. Generally, rude and lazy staff. I would have posted this review a month ago but, after escalating a complaint to Atlanta Executive Offices, Yolanda, the store manager, went out of her way to make up for a previous mess -- even delivering a few hundred pounds of marble right to my 4th floor apt. free of charge. And the delivery guys were very nice and hardworking -- even refusing an offered $20 tip. Unfortunately, however, returned twice since Yolandas good deed and both times the customer service was nonexistent. Departments are understaffed and when you finally manage to wrangle a staff member he is either unfamiliar with the products in the department or treats you like you are looking for a favor.

I needed to replace some pipes in my kitchen because they were clogged and leaking. I didnt know exactly what type of pipes I needed to get or what joints, so I just took my old broken pipes with me to the store. After a few minutes of attempting to look for the right ones myself, I gave up and asked a guy there. I wish I knew his name, but he was an Indian guy I think, and as soon as he saw my old stinky pipes, he not only found the right ones for me, he cut them into right sizes and even assembled the whole thing for me. All I had to do was just take it home and place it in the right place. I love it when workers know what theyre doing. Kudos to him. Im definitely going back there next time.

College point store. Horrible customers service. I checked on line for the stock availability before went there, but nothing was there! When I asked to Home Depot helper, he said never saw such an item before when I checked and showed him 53 stocks still showing in their website store system from my app!!! Not only that they also very rude and doesnt seems to care about the customers at all. Very unpleasant experience... Their management should give proper training to the workers on how treat their customers before lose all of their customers!

Worst customer service I have ever had. We called to check if they carry a specific profcut, the girl on the phone said they did(in 2 seconds, which means she did not even checked if they do), we my there after 10 minutes, find someone to assist us after 10 minutes waiting, only to find out that they dont carry this item we have been looking for. Came back to the customer service, to suggest her to check before she answer to a question- and she did not even looked at me. Really, emabersing and disrespectful costumer service.

I recently purchased blinds for my home in this location. The experience was a true nightmare. From the person who measured (who did not know there product) to the installer who scheduled a installation date and NEVER showed up. I called installer and went back to home depot anew times but NO ONE CARES. I just got the run around and just let it go!!! If I ever need anything again that requires customer service I would never go there!!

Note that I am just comparing this Home Depot with other Home Depots. I went there to get lumber cut and various items. First, they actually cut wood, unlike those in Manhattan. The lumber guy was helpful in finding an appropriate piece of wood and making sure the wood was cut correctly. They are well informed in where things are in the store. We asked about several items and were directed to the right place.

Thank you Alex! Only Home Depot I will ever go to because Alex is always there to help. Came in for a makeshift portable ac exhaust vent and was helped coming up with a solution for it. Prior to this he helped me set up a few pipes for my aquarium. Restores my hope of shopping at Home Depot and getting the help thats needed for us DIYers.
