I came into this store recently looking for an a/c and upon finding one we could not find anyone to help us find out the price. Many of us were looking for any employee to help us, not just me, but the 20+ people that had gathered around the air conditioners. Once we had found one, the gentlemen declined us any help claiming that it was not his department. When we asked him if he could find any us anyone who could help us he still declined and walked away from us. In the end no one helped us and when we did find the price listing it was not the same as when we got to the cashier. I also had to return the expensive a/c I purchased b/c it barely covered 1 foot even though it cost around $400+. I had called customer service just today when I got the rudest representative who just hung up the phone on me. So, if you HAVE to go to a Home Depot, please visit another one or know what you are doing so you dont have to ask them a damn thing.

Uninspired help. Phone order for pick up, was not pulled up front, nor pulled at all. People at the order station were clueless, inept, and totally useless. Left them in the dust, went to flooring department, found one case out of 12 ready...flooring department understaffed and when I approached a manager, she gave me a sigh "like I care" and mouth breathed and walked off. She did not return. Found someone else to help, out of 4 guys, a nice lady got a pallet Jack and even after I offered to help, insisted she had it, and pulled the pallet up front. The help was most likely stoned, and ended up breaking 2-3 tiles I had just bought as he just sort of tossed/dropped my product I just bought into the van. This place smells of rotten water, and the help (outside of the young lady who helped me) were just as rotten. Avoid at all costs.

Im really disappointed in the customer service provided by this store. I ordered an item at the store and it was delivered damaged. I was told by the delivery company that Id get a call within 24 hours from the manufacturer, which that call never came. I then called the store to get another delivery date and it took 20 mins before someone picked up. That person then transferred me to another person, who then proceeded to tell me that I had to call the delivery company to make arrangements for a new delivery date. Bottom line.. If your order is damaged on arrival cancel and take your business somewhere else.

First I wanted to point out that every Home Depot you shop at you may have had a bad experience with an employee not willing to go the extra mile to assist you, it has happened to me. At the Valley stream location they have some really great employees that put the customers first e.g ASM Carmen, Dave from Plumbing, the Afro Trini Guy in Electrical ( sorry cant remember his name) an awesome guy, the Guyanese guy in Flooring and a few in building Materials dept. They know their stuff. Kudos to them.

As a vendor that I had to wait 2 and 1/2 hours to have 2 racks of flowers unloaded it`s quite shameful. Finally, I had David unload it- it looks like he was the only one in the store to be able to operate a forklift. He apologized for the absurdity of the situation- the only reason I gave this store 2 stars. Other than that is like waiting for Godot and have incompetent managers like Dave doing nothing about it. I will avoid it in the future

On the 4.28.17... I was at the blinds department because I needed 3 custom blinds, we were at the store from about 9:15pm. With the 3 blinds in our cart and there were no one available to get them cut, I spoke to over 5 associates, and its as if they were programmed to say, "its not my department ". I ended up leaving the 3 blinds in the cart..after waiting until 10 pm. Mr. Frank C. You need to clean-up, that department.

I wanna give this Home Depot 4/5 because the issues that knock it down to 3/5 for me arent the places fault but the fact that every time I go here, it is busy as hell - because they have great prices on stuff, especially in the summer. Did I mention that I loathe being hot and sweaty? Heh... anyway, as long as one doesnt mind a lengthy check out line, no probs. Great deals on Xmas trees too.

I spoke with Keith in the doors and window department . I had gone into the Valley Stream store to look at storm doors. He was very patient, helpful, and pleasant. I also called the store 2 or 3 subsequent times to speak with him and go over questions I still had before purchasing the door. I was very impressed at his professionalism, patience and friendly demeanor. Thank you so much!

I went in to pick up artificial turf and a few other things. Once I checked out at the register, I requested assistance with loading the turf in to my vehicle. I waited patiently after the cashier called for someone. No one came. After several minutes, the cashier took the initiative and she (Crystal) helped me. Kudos to putting the customer fisrt.

Trash littered the parking lot, carts blowing all over the place, no employees besides the check out lines (only 2 there too), plumbing was a mess hole, nothing in stock and what was there was so misplaced you had to go through every box. All in All the worst home depot I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy s gave terrible customer service. She is bad reputation for this store. I asked her to help me find my store credit card if it was left at the flooring desk. She just kept asking pay 781 pay 781. After I went there is found my card and came back she refused to help me cash out this happens at 9:30 April 13 2017

This is not my favorite home improvement store by far. The workers, while mostly friendly, here usually know close to nothing about the sections they are stationed in. Can be hard to find some items but hey... Its home Depot. If you know what your looking for just fine it on your own and get out.

Typical HD. You need to know what you need and where to find it. Employees generally know only what is in their department. And they arent really interested in helping (umm, i think what you need might be in isle 9 or 10. If you dont find it there, look for somebody else to help you)

The place is nice and organized. At least as well organized as a home depot CAN be. Its not as bad as other locations Ive been to but not the best. Nonetheless, a great place to find what you need for the garden, or for diy plumbing, or any at-home manual type hobbies or handy work.

Was on hold for about 8 mins 4 different times. So i decided to go in and found out myself that they were out of stock for what i needed. Wasted 45 min to get there. All they needed to do was answer a phone call. Customer service is absolutely terrible.
