This store has many fine qualities - it is attractively laid-out, well-stocked with high-end products, and provides grooming services as well as goods. The staff are nice, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. It is geared toward dogs more than cats. The owner, on the other hand, is condescending and violently rude. She condescended to me about my choice of product in her store and even talked down her own stock. After I gave the shop a one-star rating on Facebook, she had it taken down. I posted another, shorter one-star review, and the next night SHE CALLED ME AT MY HOME ON MY UNLISTED, OUT-OF-STATE NUMBER. I DO NOT KNOW HOW SHE FOUND IT. She proceeded to argue, then talk over me, and finally just scream at me. She called my review "slander," threatened me with legal action if I posted anything further on Facebook, shouted that I should never set foot in her store again and slammed down the phone. There are similar reviews on PetPorts Facebook page, one showing a reviewers response to an apparently removed post made by the owner. Again, the owner threatened to "send it to her legal team" because the review was negative. This is how it works at PetPort. If the owner had called me, honestly asked why I was offended, and apologized for her tone and whatever misunderstanding might have arisen therefrom, I would have accepted it gladly, taken down my review and that would have been that. But, as you can see on S.M.s review, thats not this womans style. She doesnt value her customers. I expect a similar attack here as soon as she sees this review.

The owner is very rude and condescending, luckily her staff was great... She kicked me out for talking to other guests about their gorgeous puppy, but gladly accepted my money first. The week before her staff offered me a job. This week she screamed at me and passed judgement for no reason. You shouldnt own a store of you dont understand customer service. The store is beautiful but the owner is irrational, SHE CALLED MY JOB TO TRY TO GET ME FIRED. My boss told her, the truth, that I worked there for years and never had any issues. Its not everyone else, its you. The other review says you called someone on an unlisted number just to yell at them?? Again dont be in the customer service business..... and how did you even find where I work?!? What a lunatic! Youre scary, and you should definitely allow your employees to talk to people, you clearly dont know how to. Whos unprofessional?

Been going to petport just recently as I just got a new puppy. Not only do they have a tremendous selection of retail of food,cloths,and all your health care products for your dogs/cats. The staff their is also very friendly and well knowledge. I told them I was a first time dog owner and They were very hepful with answering all my questions.They also have a grooming department. Havnt brought him thier yet cause he is still to young but i have seen the dogs that have come out and they look awesome.

Beautiful store, in a beautiful village. Employees are well though out and ready to assist. Appreciate how the owner is very hands on with her customers as well. I had much support fitting my dog into the RIGHT harness and I am pleased with all the help and tips supplied by the owner herself and her employees. Staff is friendly and helpful and can assist you in finding the right products from food to harnesses. The owner is very knowledgeable in the care of dogs and cats alike and will take the time to answers all of your questions. Super friendly environment!

Petport is a great store for quality pet supplies, and you cant find anyone more knowledgeable and kind to animals than the folks there. Its a fun destination for you and your pooch in dog-friendly Northport! Also- you dont have to worry about the welfare of small animals, because THEY DONT SELL THEM! :)
