Dr. Krasnoff gave me the most thorough eye exam I received in my entire life. The exam took a while because he does not want to miss a single thing like checking your peripheral vision or ability to follow moving object and such.My old eye doctors took what felt like two minutes to do eye exam and all of my old glasses made me feel dizzy and I ended up not wearing them eventually. Dr. Krasnoff told me "Eyes are more important than just two minutes" and that my old glasses are "completely off." When he was almost done, he made me try temporary glasses on, and I can see so much clearer without any dizziness or discomfort.I also liked that staffs give you a form where you can explain your concerns. I did not check any of the "I want to make a statement with eye glasses" or "I think eye glasses are for fashion" check boxes, so the staff showed me affordable frames covered by my insurance. I did drool over their Chanel, Prada, and Kate Spade frames but they were quite $$$, ranging from $200 to $500.My primary concerns were seeing far distance while driving, protecting my eyes from the sun, and reducing glares at night time. Dr. Krasnoff prescribed me anti-glare transition lens with the right correction level- just what I needed. Staffs are also nice and friendly. Highly recommend!(I left the same review in Yelp.)By the way, one person left a very negative review that made me hesitate to come here. He/she clearly states that he "walked in" and "the lady ignored him". Village Optical is appointment based and they were almost all booked up when I tried to call and walk in the same day. So make your appointment well ahead of time.

My family and I have gone to Village Optical for years and have had good service. However, I came in one day a few months ago and asked if I could hang a poster in their window for a local community group I belong to that was putting on a play. The woman I asked coldly told me "no". Its funny I was thinking as I walked out, she didnt even remember me as one of their long time customers. I came in thinking they would want to help us with our play we were putting on. The fact that I am writing this several months later shows that it still really bothers me that they are only interested in me if I have money in my hand wanting to make a purchase right then. Short sighted on their part and not part of the community.

My family has been getting their eyeglasses and contact lenses from village optical for over 6 years now. The staff is extremely helpful and the store has a wide selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses to choose from. They seem to carry a very large selection of designer frames but they also have quite a few off brand models that were quite nice and within our budget. Ive also purchased Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses from them and found that their prices were actually well below what the larger eyewear chains on Long Island were charging for the same style. Good staff, nice store and very happy with their prices.

We are a family of five and have been going to Village Optical for many years for our eyeglass needs. Recently my son broke his one year old frame, when I went to the store they no longer had the same frame, was told they would contact the distributor. After waiting 10 days I called the store and was told "I dont think its available", never called the company. I dont know where the owner, Mitch is as he was on top of customer service but no longer a concern at the store. Due to the lack of common courtesy this is one family that will be taking their business elsewhere!

Wonderful staff ! A+ service all the way. I walked in with three of my kids for regular eye exams and needed one pair of glasses. All this was handled in complete professional manner. They attended my family as if we were the only one in their store. In fact this place was busy but they did their best to manage 3-4 clients at the same time without dropping the ball.

I had the best eye exam of my life. I Love this store. I found the staff to be so nice and helpful. They had so many beautiful frames. I feel that I paid a very fair price for my frames and lenses. I love my frames, they are perfect. I see really well through my Crizal lenses. I had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Village Optical.

Very good experience at the store very knowledgeable staff whoever trained them did an excellent job I would send all my friends their relatives and any Associates I personally bought sunglasses there and they were Priced Right service was good or Id say exceptional and the sunglasses a fabulous I will be going back there for a second pair of sunglasses
