This might be the epitome of hell on earth for first time home owners. Never in my life have I encountered a group of people so incompetent. Of the two managers and EIGHT associates not one could answer a question in regard to their specialty, moreover complete the simple task of getting something from a high shelf. The staff is rude, slow and ignorant at BEST! Do yourself a favor and avoid this store. Youre better off using sticks and rocks with a first grade level of knowledge to complete your home project then you would be going to this store for help. It is my absolute hope that the entire company is not held to the same extremely low standard. Simply put, burn the house down yourself taking the satisfaction of destroying your home from Home Depot or just got to Lowes.

Unfortunately, "Home Depot New Rochelle" is like every other retail store in or near major cities. 95% of the staff are incompetent, unhelpful morons who almost always seem irritated by even the most innocuous of questions and know absolutely ZERO about what trade department theyre in. And asking "an associate" where something is can be a gamble; youre likely to get one or all of the following: an eye roll, a mute shoulder shrug, a sigh, or an attitude as if youve just asked what aisle the secrets to The Universe are in. Of course there is sometimes that one "unicorn associate" once in a while that is great! But we all know about unicorns. Bottom line, the more rural you go, the better Home Depot gets.

The new rochelle Home Depot is easily the worst in the area. They have terrible stock management, the place is disorganized and dirty. The employees are sometimes helpful (hit or miss), but it is generally difficult to wrangle one (understaffed). The lines are long and slow. Compared to Port Chester, this place is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately, this is the closest HD, so it is the one I usually end up going to (sometime Ill go to port chester or Yonkers instead, but they are significantly further away for me). On the plus side, they are very easy going about returns.

I love Home Depot, but this one is a joke, service-wise! Horrible experience tonight trying to get a X-mas tree... waited 15 minutes to get someone to come to cut bottom, with a bunch of other customers. We had to ask to get help 5 times- NO ONE working the whole area. When we finally get to checkout, brain dead guy at register, says " thatll be $129".. he charged us twice for the tree and didnt even notice. Always a nightmare if you need help or service with anything here. Would never go here if it wasnt the closest HD. Grrrrrrrr.

With the money Home Depot makes, why cant they hire more professional people? I purchased a driller, and i was offered to pay extra for home depot warranty. I refused, and 6 days later the case of the driller zipper broke. When i returned, the person there tell me that since i did not purchase the full warranty he cannot replace it, and that i will need to contact the company who make the driller?!?!?! I could make a scene, but i felt so disappointed that i just left. Very disappointing.

I did not see the roof but I expect that home depot associates will do a good job ,however removing the shingles on the roof, they let it slide on to the electrical wires ,cause for concern, they did not protect my wall causing damage they removed a gate and did not replace it ,I hope home depot could rectify these issues ,I will still do other projects with them (home depot )

August 2017: Nothing has changed. Have been told...please hold 3 times on the phone. Hung up on all 3 times. Unbelieveable. July 2016: Possibly employs the laziest and least knowledgeable people on the face of the earth. If you call, youll never get anyone on the phone, and if you go there, youll get passed around until you snap and leave the store cussing someones name.

I find this store to be well organized, clean and easy to navigate. It is unlikely that any one employee will recall the location, price and precise application of all products sold at Home Depot. While I find the staff helpful, I also take the time to research items of interest, prior to visiting the store which increases my chances of having a positive experience.

This place is the pits, complete clueless and absolute losers work here, the employees have absolutely no respect, they ignore you when you need something, and worst of all there are understaffed, nothing is in its proper place, one of the worst experiences I have ever had I do not know how dumps like this stay in business.....we need a lowes in its place.

Had a terrible experience. The saws were both broken, so we could not have wood cut and the wood we wanted would not fit in our car in one piece. We then spent over 15 minutes trying to find someone to help us with no luck. Finally when we found someone, they were not knowledgeable at all, and we ended up giving up on making shelves all together.

Always fully stocked and plenty of ppl to help you if you need to find any particular item. Lines average about 4-5 min wait. Im here on a wed at about 5:30pm . down side always traffic outside making hard to maneuver. That arent that knowledgeable of what the items are in the store , but they are always willing to ask. Good location.

The girls there need to be trained on etiquette in the retail area. They are snobby and act like they are doing you a favor when in all actuality, its the other way around. Fortunately, a lot of them have gotten let go but they need new cashiers. Its apparent that the few girls that are left didnt take heed to the warning.

Staffed by mostly very rude Jamaican women, indeed, the entire staff is mostly Jamaicans. I find it hard to spend my money in this store. Customer service leaves something to be desired, on a recent visit there werent even any bags for the items I bought.

Do not buy from the food truck outside. I ordered a sausage and pepper sandwich, the guy put so much grease in it it was dripping from the paper bag while the sandwich was still in it. I ended up vomiting the sandwich later at work.

They suck. Disorganized shelves, long lines, apathetic, uninformed associates. On the plus side, they sell home improvement products which are occasionally in stock and in the right place, and prices are competitive.
