Best Bike fit ever! Eric is amazing. My wife and I have had other shops do a "bike fit" and then had to go to Eric to redo the job after the other place could not get her bike comfortable. It is amazing what a bike fitting, done by a master bike fitter can do. It is the difference between numb hands, sore knee(s), a sore butt and then pure comfort with no pain. I have ridden bikes for over 30 years and thought I was fine. My wife bought me a fitting as a present and I said ok. Eric spent almost 2 hours and adjusted my seat, shifters and pedals (and shoe cleats) and when I went for a ride the next day I was blown away by the lack of pain and increased power I had. He made several small changes that made a HUGE difference. If you think your bike fits you, it doesnt really fit until Eric dials you in. It is so worth the money I cant even begin to say. We spend 1000s on bikes and equipment but forget the most important part. For the price of a good helmet or shoe you can get the most important thing....a custom fit! A half inch can mean all the difference between a sore knee or numb body parts and pain free riding that will keep you going longer and faster without injury from not being aligned correctly. After I bought a second bike for my wife we tried another shop closer to our house with lots of facy equipment for fitting. They did a really bad job and then we brought it to Eric and Bicycle World for a redo. I teally learned my lesson. Just because someone has a fancy shop or says they do bike fittings doesnt mean they can do a good job. Eric fixed her bike and my wife is pain free on her other bike now. Eric is a "level 3" master bike fitter and in my opinion kind of a magician and savant in the way he can spot subtle details that make such a huge difference. I can not recommend them enough!!! Excellent repair services and product selection too btw.

Overall excellent experience with Eric, Ilene and the entire Bicycle World staff. Recently, I became interested in triathlons. Im an avid swimmer and runner, but I had no clue about cycling. Eric patiently explained to me all that I could absorb and fitted me to a 58cm in Felts Z series. I wanted the beautiful 2011 z5 desperately, but couldnt pull the trigger. Ilene endured countless emails from me about pricing (I couldnt help but try to get a better deal than the great one already being offered) and remained calm when I told her about some crazy "deal" that I found online. She cautioned me without pressuring me, and Im very grateful because the site was a scam thats since been exposed! Finally, I purchased the bike and scheduled my final fitting/bike pickup for 3pm; then I promptly marked it on my calendar for 4pm. Eric still spent a solid 90 minutes getting everything just right (and here wld be a good place to mention that I missed my first fitting completely a month earlier). Perhaps most impressively, after breaking a cleat on my new shoes due to my gross ineptitude with clipless pedals, I went to the shop and Eric replaced it in 30 seconds without a mention of cost. I would highly recommend Bicycle World to anyone buying a bike, regardless of needs, budgets, etc. They are highly professional yet helped me to feel comfortable in what could have been a stressful situation. I wish I found out about Bicycle World in the beginning. Let me explain, I went to my LBS to look at a Specialized road bike, and there was one bike in the store I was looking at, I tried out the bike, but I thought the bike was too big. The owner of the shop, kept on telling me it fitted me perfectly, unfortunately I trusted the owner and bought the bike. After a couple of rides, I knew the bike was too big. At this time, I decided to buy a new road bike and sell my current road bike I bought in May 2010. I searched on the internet for a person who knew a lot about fitting a rider for a road bike. I came across a person name Eric Marcos the owner of Bicycle World, all the reviews and testimonies were amazing. I decided to travel over 1 hour to checkout Bicycle World, what you get is out of this world service from Eric, and Bicycle World staff. Eric took his time and gave me a fitting and told me which road bike would fit me perfectly. Afterward, I placed an order for a new 2011 Felt Z2. You see most bike shops just want to make a sale, but Bicycle World just want to take care of you and make sure you get the best experience and service. Bicycle World will answer all of your questions and spend time with you regardless if youre buying. I love Bicycle World and recommend the shop to all people who love riding. You wont regret going there.

Honestly the greatest Bike Shop in ALL of NY and CT! Eric and Eileen and so BEYOND accommodating for just about anything. They are very responsive the emails and phone calls and will do anything to make the customer have a great experience. Eric is the BEST bike fitter in the area...by far. He spends some quality time with the rider and explains everything in detail throughout the process. Oh - and their prices are incredibly low compared to their competitors. Their bike tech staff (shout out to BEN!!!) is so knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. There are ZERO attitudes that exist in this shop and the customer is always their #1 priority. I have dealt with several other shops in both CT and NY and not one wowed me like the folks at Bicycle World. If you are looking for the old school customer service, go here! You will be treated like you matter AND with the utmost respect. Bike Shops like this simply do not exist anymore. I have sent several of my CT athletes to Eric for fitting because they were desperate to find good customer service and to no surprise, they were hooked and have no issue driving 30 minutes to be treated like they matter. One thing I cannot stand when shopping for a "big" purchase is being rushed. To me, a bicycle is a major investment. I do a lot of research before I go to a store but I also want the input of the experts. I was not disappointed at Bicycle World. I thought I already knew most of the answers, but they asked several questions I hadnt even thought of and they didnt rush me. It is a very busy store (which is always a good sign), but they still took their time with me even though there was a lot of activity and customers. But the real test was going to be when I got my bike and rode it for the first time. UNBELIEVABLE! The fitting I got was superb. I have never felt so comfortable on a bike in my life. Everything was exactly as I specified when I placed my order. You can buy online if you want to, but you will never have the opportunity to know what it feels like to ride a bike that was expertly fitted FOR YOU. I cannot imagine ever going to another store. They did a great job for me and Im extremely pleased. Im taking my girlfriend there next week to buy her a bike for her birthday.
