3 years ago I decided to shed some pounds and take up cycling. not knowing much and not wanting to spend a lot of money as I didnt know if the sport was for me. I went into brickwell. they fit me for an entry level bike one that would be fast enough to enjoy and be able to get this 45lb overweight body uphill. In hinedsight it was the perfect bike. after becoming addicted I got into duathlons and eventually triathlons. (I use brickwell for all those needs as well). When it was time for me to step up and buy a bike that would keep me competative in my age group, I knew it would cost a lot. so I hit the internet did the research picked my bike and was close to buying it at the lowest number on the net. I think from some shop in Canda. before doing it I spoke to brickwell. so glad that I did. their pricing wasnt far off and as it turns out the few dollars extra saved me 5 fold. The bike I picked because i knew everything biking now for 3 years :-) was ready for Kona and the tour de france but I wasnt. the bike was extremely aggresive in positioning. The staff at brickwell worked with me on fitting and was tireless until it was perfect. I should have used their guru system to select the right bike for me in the first place. turns out the bike didnt have a perticular part that was represented by the manufacturer . brickwell stood by it and made it right. turns out the manufacturer recalled the brakes. brickwell stood by it and bent over backwards to make me happy. I would never go anywhere else for my multi sport needs. they certainly built loyalty with me by customer service. so now if you see a much thinner guy on an expensive bike going really fast (with a stupid looking helmet) and smiling, wave, it might be me.

I went there friday last week to order some parts and they took my information down and said they would call me in an hour once they found the parts I needed. About 3 hours went by and no phone call so I decided to call them and ask what was going on and they said they got busy and they would look into it right away; understandable. They called me back telling me that they couldnt order the parts until Monday so they would call me on Monday once they ordered the parts. Monday came around and I didnt hear from them so I decided to go to a different ship and order the parts.Today is Saturday and I still havent heard from them. That is not how you treat your customers. I cant speak for the whole staff but the guy that failed to help me needs to learn attention and detail. From now on I will be taking my business some where else where they know how to appreciate their customers. I own 3 mountain bikes, 2 of them brought from brickwell so thats 3 bikes that will be getting maintenance somewhere else.

I cant say enough about the excellent quality & service I have always received when purchasing a bike or bike products at Brickwell. The owner & his staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Just the other day I brought in my daughters bicycle in to have a rear mount that she could use to put her stuff in when she goes riding. Unfortunately the nice gentleman installing it informed me that the rack did not fit the bike correctly because of a design flaw.Long story short he told me that he could easily correct the problem himself & create a flawless fit which was great news because I loved the design & quality of the rack we had chosen. My daughter has never had any problems with the rack since its installation but I know if their was a problem I could take it back & they would take care of it for me.

Got a bike there 2 Months ago and the bike is a lemon. Nothing but problems from day one. I got a flat leaving the store because someone smashed a bunch of bottles in the parking lot. I was on a long ride and my pedal fell off. The dopey kid working there told me he made it tight. When i approached the owner about all these problems all he could tell me he would give me 10% off. I would stay away from this place if i were you.

Quality gear with expert customer service. Went in here last month with wife (novice to bike world), Amir took time to explain basics, fit and custom tune new bike for my wife. Paid reasonable price that comes with 1 yr service & felt comfortable knowing they really cared about my wife having the best ride for her needs. Would come back here again for another bike if needed.

I cant recommend Brickwell Cylcling any higher!!! They are knowledgeable and patient. I am an inexperienced rider and needed some guidance to get started. They were understanding and helped to educate so I could make an intelligent buying decision. Their prices were more than fair and I love my new bicycle! Dont bother with the big retailers! Brickwell is the best!

Fantastic experience. I am away from NY and my rear brake cable broke in an area with no bike shop or other store with parts. With one call the owner of the store shipped me a new cable and housing just like that. I didnt even buy this bicycle from them but I know from where Ill purchase my next ones! An incredibly friendly and expert experience. Highly recommended.

I just returned from one of my favorite places. It doesnt matter how busy they are, Drew and the Brickwell Family are always so kind and helpful. I have been going to this location for years and also recently the Manhasset location. Please consider buying and having your bikes serviced by them. They are top notch and a class act all the way. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable sales staff, convenient to get to, very quick service, but expect to pay a premium for the products too. Prices are at or above MSRP, as opposed to significant reduction below MSRP online. Inflexible to non-existant price matching policy (in reality).
