Mechanic was giving me all these reasons why the gears werent shifting. He said the cassette was changed so the gears may be messed up. The chain links were too long maybe thats why. Oh wait the front derailleur was messed up. The crankset was messed up maybe thats why. He was going to charge me $10 for the slight tune up on the gears. Then he said the chain was too long so he removed one link and racked the bill up to $30 because he continued to mess with my bike. In the end, the bike still wasnt perfect. It had new parts and it was an expensive bike. My cassette, crankset, chain, etc were new and compatible on my bike was working great.

Granted i am by no means a bike connoisseur , but the staff and owner Jerry were so pleasant, they could have sold me trash. Im kidding. The bike I rented, a family member of the owner also used in a bike tour so it must be quality... I am riding in the NYC 2010 Bike Tour and Jerry and one of his staff members helped me find a bike, gave me pointers for the event and even let me see pics of past tours in which he participated. For me, customer service is most impt, after all a good bike is in every store, and they had GRADE A+ SERVICE!

Moderate to high end bikes. Staff is very knowledgeable and this is their lifestyle. they work to ride. The owner Jerry is a pleasure to deal with. Service is fantastic. I took in my sons 5 year old Kona, which he left at college for 2 years and Jerry tuned it up and it was ready to go in a few days at no charge. I also have a hybrid where the back wheel spokes broke. Jerry fixed it because of manufacter recall labor charge and replacement $10 free tune ups for the life of the bike. thanks rob

Went in today for a squeaky brake check, Jerry and Joani helped me out with EXCELLENT customer service!! The staff were flawlessly skilled in fixing the squeaky brake. They are such genuine people. This is indeed the BEST bike shop in NYC and Ive been to many bike shops. There is no competition when it comes to exceptional customer service and knowledge

I recently bought a Seven custom road bike from this shop. Jerry, the owner, and his staff were nothing less than super in figuring out what suited me best. There is no pressure and they listen to what you want, not what they want to sell. This shop is the best kept secret in New York. Go there, you will not be disappointed.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I had a clicking sound coming from my bike and in just a few minutes they were able to take care of it and didnt even charge for it. It was a pleasure finding this store and you certainly have found a new customer. Would recommend to anyone.

This place is awesome...I was building my bike and had a problem so I brought my bike to peak bike shop and the owner showed me what I was doing wrong and showed me how to fix it. He only charged me $5.00 to fix it...very honest. he was taking time to teach me a lot of the stuff

every other LBS tried to charge me $45 to install a new fork, they did it for $25. and they finished in 2 hours!!! BEST LBS ever!! will never go anywhere else. very friendly staff, with great selection.
