We moved to Putnam Valley from Kingston and immediately missed Adams, the store we used to go to in Kingston. Found DeCicco when I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. I immediately fell in love. They have LOTS of premade meals that are changed daily, like lasagna, meatloaf, grilled veggies, mashed taters, etc, like 8 different entrees plus 2 soups that you can take out. If you live alone or with just one other person, you could elect never to cook again! Plus they have a full deli, a bakery, and very fresh and extensive produce, too. Everybody who works there has been very pleasant and helpful (special nod to the really nice guy in produce who jokes with me everytime I go there--last time he told me the avocados came from Japan just to see if Id believe him). Friends claim their prices are higher than Shop Rite and other local chains but I dont care. First of all, its a completely different experience at DeCiccos; personalized service (they even take your order over the phone and deliver it to you for just $10 the SAME DAY you order it). Plus I like supporting local merchants. AND today I went to Shop Rite just cause a friend said I should try it out and frankly, I do not think the prices at DeCiccos are higher, the store is cleaner and just feels nicer to me. Maybe Im a food snob but I gotta tell you, if you love good food and good service, DeCiccos is worth your patronage. PS Theres a great little liquor store in the same shopping center as well as Taconic Pharmacy which is fabulous and not a dime more expensive than CVS in my experience PLUS Taconic Pharmacy will deliver my prescriptions. PS I dont work for DeCiccos, I dont do their marketing, I have no connection with them at all other than being a fairly new customer. I had to say that cause when I reviewed my post I sound like my kid owns the place haha. He doesnt.

Everything is usually very good on the Hot Food Bar but I did experience some of the "Rudeness" expressed in a previous review. If they are replacing a tray, they will basically push right past you with no "Excuse Me". I completely understand they have work to do, but without the customer they have no work at all. Just common courtesy. I also called once to ask what they had on the hot bar that day because they do, occasionally, change the menu. The guy that answered the phone was rude and abrupt and then just hung up, he was finished with what he had to say and I was bothering him. I still gave them 5 stars because, as I said, the food is generally very good and its convenient for a quick dinner.

I have mix feelings about this place. On the one hand, the selection and quality of food is top notch. On the other hand, the prices are ridiculously high and the service is mediocre. I encountered several cashiers who found it justified to not look at you in the eye or greet you as they ring you up. Frankly, I thought it was very unprofessional. Id rather drive the extra 10 minutes to Trader Joes in Danbury or Turcos in Yorktown Heights.

This is a nice supermarket if you are looking to get food from the hot food bar. The only thing I dont like is how crazy the parking lot gets on the weekends and anytime after 2 p.m during the week. I have seen numerous accidents in this parking lot and have seen customers throw their shopping carts into other cars. I would suggest shopping here early. Other than that the staff is friendly and there is a Dunkin Donuts in this plaza which is nice!

Their hotfood bar and deli are amazing. They have some really delicious options. Their specialty items are always fresh and there are plenty of choices! The staff work hard to keep this store in order and clean and they do a great job. The prices are sometimes high, but the hot food is totally worth it. Their Mac and cheese is the best!

This Italian Store, has a Huge Variety of Products. Italian/ American, and a Deli, with The Freshest Cold Cuts, You will Love! They also have a Huge, TO GO, Buffet, with All kinds of Hooked Foods. One Visit, and You wont cook anymore! Prices are a Little High, but The Auality, is Guaranteed!

Surprisingly good food for a supermarket. They always have fresh food and their staff is very attentive and helpful even when they are busy. I have recently started becoming a regular here for lunch. Awesome place for grocery shopping as well. This place does it all!

The hot bar employees were very rude. This employee just started taking away the food while we were taking some. They threw out the food we were about to take, yelled at my mom. And gave us dirty looks. Very, very rude.

EXPENSIVE!!! Either there rents are sky high or its there profit margin. Could not afford to shop there on a regular basis. I guess that is why they are located in Upper class neighborhoods.
