Where do I begin, my experience was like all of these peoples experiences combined. It was my sisters birthday today and all I wanted to do was return an item that was the wrong size and repurchase a size she could wear but the customer service lady named Sonya was like oh all the registers are closed and told everyone that was left in the store. We asked if we could go to the remaining one to return the shirt my sister couldnt fit but Sonya did not want to deal with my issues. She was very rude and had a terrible attitude. I have been in Kmart and it just keeps getting worse. I know people that used to work there but got fired because of Kmarts 6 infraction policy. This policy needs to change because if there is an emergency, someone is sick or someone even gets hurt on the job, they dont care. There are always new faces and its sad and this was beyond a terrible experience.

Worst customer service. After noticing that the mulch I put in my cart was leaking all over the floor. I tried to get someone to get a garbage bag to put the mulch in. No one cared. they just rolled their eyes. No one even put up a wet floor sign. Although the manager in the garden department was very nice and helpful. The inside floor staff is terrible. Then the cashier starts clicking on things on the credit card monitor after I put my pin in. I guess to speed things up. she ends up sending an e-receipt to my finances email. Well that goes surprising him with his birthday gift. Id rather pay more $ then shop here. The staff at walmart are 100x more professional and friendly than kmart

As others have stated: 1. Rude service, and thats if you can even find a store associate. Been coming here for years because I live close and I almost never see a sales associate in the isles. 2. Long lines!! Busy weekends only ever have 2-3 registers open and the cashiers are slowwwwwww! 3. Store is a mess! Every price check scanner is broke or missing. Isles are half empty as if store is going out of business. They should just close this mess down. Its always a disgusting shopping experience. If it was around the corner from me I would NEVER come here.

Terrible experience !! when all the billing is done.. their server got rebooted and the transactions got void .. but not the card transaction i used. and i had to deal with prepaid mastercard back and forth with kmart again and again ... such a terrible experience... For all this Nonsense it took more than 30 min on the day of billing and when asked for a discount atleast 5% for the whole mess.. they took out 10% off one item priced 22$ and my total for that day shopping was $219 dollars. This Place is a mess. i would avoid as much as i could going forward.

Cashiers are too slow, registers are as old as my ancestors, the lines are rarely long but you still end up waiting 20 mins to checkout, customer service is god awful. After waiting way too long on line to buy one item! I asked a lady in customer service, who wasnt busy at all if I can checkout there.. infact she was just standing there doing nothing and she told me "no" in the rudest tone, find better employees or shut this dump down.

Waited on line for 20 minutes for 2 things. the woman in front of me tried using a coupon which wasnt working. A manager came over and was clueless about the coupon. No one apologized to her or me who waited in line for 20 minutes, just got an eye roll. After paying, the girl gave me my receipt without a "thank you" or "have a nice night". Just silence. Will not go to this store anymore. Worth driving an extra 10 minutes to target.

There are never enough cash registers open. This issue causes very long lines. Then, when you finally are at the register, it is computing on an old, out-of-date system. Thats such a bad look, which makes you think, " Kmart sucks," as Tom Cruise says in the movie, "Rain Man." I spend WAY TOO much money there, as many others do, to get hassled and held up even longer.

They had me on hold for almost half an hour just because I asked whether they still had a product in stock or not. Such TERRIBLE customer service. All other kmarts in NYC were so fast in finding out whether they had a product in stock with such a friendly attitude. This one however I dont recommend whatsoever. Was willing to travel from Staten island too.

I found the prices to be high on everything I looked at. Even the sale prices were not so generous. Walmart has much better pricing and a much better choice of products. I feel bad for the people that live in this area and might have no choice but to shop in this store. I agree with the person who posted that this store should be changed to a Walmart.

I was very surprise with variety of thing that I found in Kmart. The prices, for the most part, were the same as their competitors or slightly higher, but the quality offered by Kmart is superior. On the day I visited, I was able to spend very little money for a good number of great quality products. I will definitely return and buy here again.

The staff needs some serious training in customer service. I have experienced cashiers pausing from scanning my items to check her cell phone, not being told my total, given no bags and even told that I cant try on clothes (because it was 9:30 and they close at 10). Parts of this store is very organized and clean....others, not so much.

Its Kmart - what youd expect with merchandise, unfortunately poor cashier experience , makes one feel bad for burdening the cashier with items to scan. Poor position choice for someone who apparently doesnt like to deal with people.

Watch out for the end-cap "bait and switch" scam using xl boxes that are really much more, the sale item is the small box mostly hidden with all the other cereals. Real problem, they probably scam you on everything else.

called to see if they carried a product i saw online, put me on hold for 5 mins, directed me to the wrong department, back on hold for 10 mins, finally i hung up. Really?! I could have driven there by now. Boo.

They are rude. They made me wait for a layaway for 20 mins then I just walked out. I hate this store they should make it a Walmart its better nicer people and fast service. I try so much to not go to kmart.

2 is because they give good coupons with my receipts, plus the store is usually pretty put together and organized! Otherwise, poor service, slow lines, never enough registers open.

Great prices, polite people, but would not accept 2 returns over 30 days. In contrast Home Depot accepted an item from 2014 and Marshalls from over a year ago!!
