I went to the Home depot store over on bridge street this morning to buy a few pieces of lumber for my deck. This experience was even worse than my experience two weeks ago, so I thought to write this review hoping that someone in the home depot management sees this and fires the store manager just to let the store employee know that their job is customer service. Looking for some help in the lumber department, I finally found someone, after about 5 minutes. I asked for help and explained my need. The young fellow just rolled his eyes, and ignored me. He proceeded to go back and forth in the isle acting like he was doing something, but nothing. He was just wasting time so I go away. I gave up and went looking myself, found the stuff, loaded the lumber on the cart (no help from a number of the store employees who passed by). Anyway, I went over to the cashier to pay and leave. In front of me is an older fellow (about 75) and a lady about 50. Both appeared winded from the heavy lifting of the hardware in their cart. Looked like we had similar experiences. The cashier called for someone to come and help these folks in the parking lot. So, the gentleman and the lady left the store. I paid for my stuff and on my way to my car and see the old man and the lady struggling loading the material while a couple of the store employees were passing by. I noticed that they asked the employees for help, and they were ignored. I went over and helped them load their stuff in their car, and told them that it has also happened to me before. I asked them to write a review and write a letter to the store manager. Not sure if they will. Do I expect too much from the store employees to help their customers (especially seniors) load the heavy stuff in their car? Or is this a sign of an incompetent store manager whose employees are not incentivized to help customers and prefer wondering aimlessly around the isles instead?

Rented a tiller from these guys. When I checked out I explained how I was on vacation the rest of the week and I was excited to get the project done that night because that means I could use my vacation time to actually relax. We power test the tiller load it in my jeep and go home. I power it up go to till and the blades on the left side fly off rolling towards my foot. I look on the ground, the bolt that holds the blades in place had no safety pin connected to it. So I call back and my options were to return with it and get another one or come back and get bolts to put it back together. So instead of loading the monster back in the jeep. I drive out to get the replacement bolts and get a "sorry for the inconvenience". Well yeah it is. Because now its dark out and I have to have the machine back by 9am. Had the machine actually functioned the way it should, I wouldve been able to finish my job but no, at my inconvenience I had to drive out for nothing basically. I cant finish the job tonight and I obviously cant finish in the morning. So thank for taking my cash and I literally get nothing but inconvenienced out of this. I drove out to hand you my credit card, drove out to get a part to fix your crap, and gotta drive out to return it. Half a gas tank later, Ive accomplished nothing. UPDATE *** When I returned the tiller the gentlemen were very accommodating as they understood the seriousness of the bolt falling off and the blades spinning out as well as that it is now raining and I cant take it home again to complete the job. I was given a fill refund. Thank you for excellent customer service

As long as you do not need help loading you are find. We have been buying at this location for 6 years. We have spent 100k plus there. We have been buying from Lowes and other local supply house lately do to lack of assistant in loading. I am writing this review today because we just bought allot of lumber and only one of us went. When we ask for help, the home depot employee said his was to busy to help and it would be about a half hour before he could assist. This has been a consistent issue at this location. We will look at to buy more a Lowes and local supply houses. They have been consistently unresponsive to assistance in loading supplies

If youve ever wondered what it was like to shop at a store where 20 employees roam the aisles asking if you need help selecting mundane things like light bulbs, but only 1-2 check out lanes are ever open, come stop by this Home Depot! Seriously though, I know you have 2-4 self check out lanes, but if I buy something large or bulk and need a human cashier to ring me up, theres only ever one around and they usually have a line several people deep already. Is it too much to ask to not spend half my time in your store in a line waiting to pay for my items?

So I bought a tool kit on Home Depots website. Ryobi, a bunch of assorted tools, and an extra big battery to go with it. Got it just about a month ago, and used it for the first time last weekend. One of the regular batteries in the kit has already crapped out. Called Home Depot. I cannot swap out the battery or the entire kits warranty is voided. I have to bring back the entire kit. So thats what I will do, and then I will go shop over at Lowes and Home Depot can go %#$* themselves. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

I brought my companies Swedish jackhammer to the tool rental and service office. The guys were great. They tried everything to help me made suggestions on how to rectify the problem. Ultimately we could not get it to work. They gave every effort to get it started. I would recommend these guys and you best believe when I need something for myself, I will visit them. Awesome job

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being excellent and 10 being the ultimate worse) I rate the Home Depot in E. Syracuse a -10 Very bad customer service. Thats there number 1 job is to service customers. Very poor at it. I called and was transferred 4 times and on hold for 15 min with no results.

So many people for some reason they have a bunch of stuff in the way carts everywhere. So if you like traffic jams go to this store. Employee argued with me about all home depot layouts are the same. Its the younger guy in rentals just in case managers care about this store at all!

Dont expect much help. If you need assistance with something, go to lowes or your local hardware store. I have extensive experience with both stores in the past 18 months after buying our home. The customer service desk has always been helpful...they just need more floor workers.

Home depots delivery boys backed their delivery truck down our small road and destroyed our strip of 10 mailboxes...that was 6 months ago and despite promises of repair? We now apparently have to take legal recourse....real stand up management over there.
