East Islip Lumber Is and old style lumber yard they have great products and that hard to find stuff. I have been going here since 1986 when I purchased my first home, at that time I worked with Shannon. Now I work with Paulie, hes great treats me always like a friend. They have great advice and are not your small box store type store. They respect you but they also wanted to be respected they deal with many size contractors and cater to these companys whom use them often and have create strong working realtionships. I believe that and educated customer will find them useful and helpful. Their not looking for the once a year customer, their looking to create a relationship based on trust, respect and a mutual beneficial realtionship . They have been around along time dong things the old school way and I love it! but I agree its not for everyone. Build a realtionship their and youll be a client for life. Cannot say enough about Paulie and the Crew , they always help me load and I dont have to wait a 1/2hr like the box stores!! btw they also have wood thats square and straight unlike that JUNK! in the box stores. this is the worst place by far to go to! not only do you not receive help and have to wait around for the employees to stop talking about there private life but theres a sign that says go into the yard for help and a sign that says your not allowed to enter without help!!!! after you wait 40 minutes to be acknowledge it takes another 40 minuets for them to cut one piece of wood! went here to support a local business and i regret not going to LOWES, by far the most unprofessional, uncaring lumber yard on long island. what could have been thousands of dollars in business for them is now lost due to there incompetence

As a school district our purchasing options are closely regulated and East Islip has been available to us on contract for many years and they NEVER disappoint. Good quality products at very good prices, knowledgeable staff (they willingly help me with the stuff I only have casual knowledge of) Reliable delivery. Heres hoping they stay on a Municipal Purchasing Contract list for years to come.

East Islip Lumber has the RUDEST customer service I have ever dealt with. Very knowledgeable people, but VERY RUDE. I cannot fathom how a sales team can treat customers like total garbage. It seems that if you are not a large construction company, they want nothing to do with you. Terrible. I will go elsewhere from now on. This has happened to me time and time again with this place.
