Looking for a carpet went to Lowes also they had a better selection and the department was bigger Home Depot had a better deal as far as the installation goes prices are about the same havent made a decision yet Lowes had their pad Price with their carpet Home Depot you had an ad the price of the padding to the carpet I buy all my stuff at Home Depot but I think Im going to buy the carpet from Lowes it was a better deal plus Lowes gives you 5% off if you open up an account and two years special financing Home Depot does not

I love this Home Depot. I have worked here before over a decade ago and it still has that charming helpful vibe. The customer service/sales departments are great. If you have any issues they do help to resolve it. My kids love their free monthly kids workshops that include building cool things. Theyve made wagons, bug houses, frames and more. They get a free apron and a pin. Ive been to a few DIY workshops too, which were very informative and fun.

Customer service on the floor spotty/hit and miss consistently by Dept. Consistently long waits to get someone to come over to cut wood. Ppl encountered on the floor are almost always pretty friendly and try to be helpful. Guy towards back of store (with beard) in Windows/doors is the go-to for me. Hes always able to help me find what I need. Pretty knowledgeable about a lot of how-tos as well.

I had to do some major painting and I really needed help because I had to do it on my own (female who has only painted a few times with others). Lenny in the paint department at the Derby store was extremely friendly and helpful in the advice he provided to me. I visited the store on multiple occasions and each time he provided good recommendations to assist me. Thanks Lenny!

Exceptional. Plumber available to provide guidance on my purchase. Polite, courteous, asked me questions to clarify correct product for the job. Wished me well. Then I asked for help to repair my A/C. Took me to computer and assisted me in putting in a request to one of the HVAC contractors to contact me. Again very polite and wished me well again with my projects.

Home Depot in Derby CT is always a dump. What a mess. Never more than one register open takes forever to cash out if I can find what Im looking for. Up the road Lowes is a palace compared to this place, neat and clean and well organized, and well stocked. So long Home Dumpo.

Jason came through for me! So helpful. Needed to lower a bed for safety for an elderly person. I had come in from out of town, so had no tools. They were able to cut me some plywood sheets that worked perfect. Very nice. Very helpful staff. I was so appreciative of their help.

Everyone here is extremely helpful and the product selection is great. The best part of home depot is their returns. If you pay by card returns are so easy.
