I always forget why I dont shop here. And every time I go to this fabric store I am soon reminded of why I dont patronize this place...piss poor customer service Today I arrived a few minutes before closing to make a bee line to the item I needed, but was not let in. I get it. I worked retail and hated those last minute customers. However, I worked at a chain store. A small business on Flatbush cant afford to turn away customers AND be rude about it, especially since so many store fronts on Flatbush are available for rent (#gentrificationcomingsoon) due to rising rents that owners couldnt keep up with. I asked the gatekeeper if I could come in and he said they were closed. I replied, "Google says yall close at 6." He retorted, "We are not Google." This person, who probably has nothing to do with the operation of the business missed out on the chance to smooth over the issue and not leave me with such a bad memory of this place. He also missed out on an opportunity to pass this error on to someone who could fix it. What Mr. Grumps doesnt know is that I was trying to keep money in my community. You see, I work in the Garment District and can buy a much wider array of items than what is provided in Flatbush with top notch customer service to boot. Never coming back. Hope they put a Michaels there! Also I find it interesting that most poor reviews are POC. Hmmmm.

I craft a lot and buy my embellishments here. The customer service is terrible - especially at the back where all the Wiltons baking accessories are located. I have experienced everything from a sales person chewing gum while talking to me incoherently, to a sales person leaning on the counter with her elbow and resting her chin on her hand while talking to me. How sad. As an entrepreneur myself I can only feel sorry for the owner of this business because his people are driving customers away. What happened to standing up straight, speaking coherently and going the extra mile? I prefer the Save A Thon closer to Kings Plaza. They are much nicer there, they have a wider selection to choose from anyway and they will call the manager if they cannot help you answer a question!

How can you work in a craft store and not know what glitter tattoos are??? Even the logic of it all glitter + tattoo. Just called and the guy on the phone was SUPER rude.. asked if they had glitter for tattoos and he went....glitter WHAT!!!, so I said do you have ultrafine glitter? he said, we have glitter i dont know if its ultra fine....we have lots of glitter. Would it have killed him to have walked over to the glitter aisle rather than me driving 20 mins to see that they dont have the kind of glitter Im looking for???

If you like to fight ratchet old cheap west indian women then this is your spot to go. If you want to wait in line forever because an old woman wants to fight over tax being added to the bill wich is 100% normal then this is the spot for you. If you want to hunt for fabric in tight hot walkways then this your spot. I prefer the one by kingsplaza wich is spacious and usually void of west indian women.

Laziest, most racist hateful manager in the world Fat White Pregnant Howard. If you can avoid him, he might not be able to pull you down into his cold and lonely hate filled world. I got tons of video on this guy. If your from the executive office and you need solid evidence to get rid of him you may contact me here its linked to my professional Google acct. Everyone else is pretty cool.

If I hadnt gotten the Google Offer for this place, I probably would have never gone, let alone bought anything. There was not $40 worth of stuff for me to buy. Im only glad that I was able to get the rotary cutter I was looking for, but it was overpriced and the only thing worth getting on this trip. I would have fared a lot better going to a Michaels store for cheap stuff.

I love this store! Been shopping here for years... Yes it is a tight space, but its packed full of your basic crafting & sewing needs. This store has saved me a trip to Manhattan for supplies on MANY occasions!! The staff are friendly and patient with the predictably fussy customers. Theres a reason Save A Thon has been on Flatbush for decades.

Bought a Krylon spray finisher there, they give generic receipts so when I went back to exchange because they sold me the wrong item they said my receipt was invalid and would not even exchange! I wasnt looking for a refund, I wanted to exchange the types, with their price tags all over and they still wont let me exchange! DONT BUY FROM THEM!

Been going for years!!! I love me some Save-A-Thon. The prices can rarely be beat. Neoprene was in store for a short time at $9.99...It was $27.00 in the fashion district! Silk, cotton prints, wool, leather, upholstery...all there

The staff in this store seems very unwilling to help customers at all... very unfriendly. The store further down Flatbush Avenue is bigger and the staff is more accomodating and knowledgeable.

Lots of tacky cheap crap, the type sold on ebay from China, with very little decent or elegant or modern looking fabrics.
