If not for the spray paint N markers, this Place would be great. The staff, ruin it except for one elderly man. The rest of the staff, dont deserve to have a job that when they work in it, they treat their customers like someone who didnt spend money with them. When I find the corporate office of this store, Ill make a complaint so worth listening to, I see no reason why I wouldnt get a complimentary gift. W.e I wish it be. There is one staff member that I would have to say if not for his arrogance, then this store would get an easy 5star. Stores beware....if Im your customer, then on ur tippy toes I expect you to treat me or any person spending money in your store. Any person who knows anything bout making money knows that one is never suppose to reject making money or, make remarks on not having to sell what if they dont, they will lose out on money making. Ive spent and spent. Yet I am with not cordial greeting or treating. Go to this store with the attitude of owning the place. For the employee, the one I refer to, will treat you like you arent about to spend money. When this employee is gone, this store with be much better.

Absolutely abhorrent staff. Lazy and absent minded. Asked for simple advice on two products I needed and both products bought were totally wrong. I was given the wrong sized marker tips and then told I couldnt get a refund on markers when I went to return, even though these markers are behind the counter and were handed to me. Silly me for trusting an art student. Also a spray I needed to cover said art project made all the paint run even though j explained the surface and materials used to said slacker. Will never return. Ill gladly take the trip into the city to go to Michaels. Ridiculous.

Twice I went in to buy supplies for a project, and realized there was one item that I didnt know much about. I asked all the employees and they pointed me to the wrong products both times. Each one was expensive, but they begrudgingly pointed me in that direction. Granted, I should have known what I needed, but they should also really know what theyre talking about and what theyre recommending. That said, its really the biggest and best art supply store in the neighborhood, so if you dont have time to go to a bigger spot, its worth your trip. Im going there today.

I shopped here and had great help. I often see we the consumer fail to clearly state what our needs are... so it seems harsh to blame others for that.. Lesson to each artist... do your homework know what you are needing when you walk in.. ask if they sell a comp that works as well at a better price. In general the Williamsburg store was a delightful find much larger than it looks and staffed well.. made me think of "old time" shops.. I found the advice informed and willing to listen.. the rest is up to me.

Make sure you compare the charged price at the register with the items marked price. I was overcharged on every item, but took for granted the scanned price was accurate. I am sure that had i notice and told the person ringing me up it would have been explained. I left before I noticed. Just be warned to double check while you are still in the store. Other then that, it was a nice store to shop at and larger then it looks.

Looks small from the street but rooms open on rooms with a surprisingly good selection at very affordable prices. This is a so-called discount art supply store but without any cheapy feel. Great materials, even better prices. Everything from sculpty to watercolor to oil pastel and professional paints and fine papers. Consistenly friendly staff. Did I mentiond the great prices? Highly reccomended.

This is a good neighborhood store. They tend to focus on quality of the products they offer over quantity. I was looking for a particular paint and although they did not stock it the clerk took my request seriously and spent quite a while searching for something comparable. I later found exactly what I needed at another store and they returned the original product no questions asked.

The people there are nice, the prices are very good and its pretty well stocked for a small store. However, basic things like not flat packing paper and a smaller selection of materials overall would still make me recommend hopping on the L and making the trip to NY Central if youre stocking up. Still, Im glad its there. Helped me out in a pinch more than once.

This store has a massive selection of pens books cloth/fabric, etc. The employees not only adorable, are extremely helpful and know where everything is, this store is divided upon two floors, in case you wanted to know *you also get a discount if you are a student or teacher, and Im not aware of the other discounts

The worst service ever! Please dont buy anything from there , I bought glow color medium and the guy that work there told me that I can mix it with any kind of acrylic, he was wrong and gave me wrong product, I didnt want my money back just to replace , really bad service !!

I asked questions about where is the stuff and the other stuff and whats a good glue to use for my special project. None of the staff said I was dumb or uncool for not knowing what a good glue is or where that stuff was. They have an upstairs.

Walked in to just get one thing, but spent at least an hour looking at all the options... this place is amazing! So many supplies, so many different CHOICES of supplies, and all for a pretty good deal! The staff are very friendly & helpful too.

I love that they opened a store in the middle of the north Bronx. I used to live down the street from the store in trendy Williamsburg. Glad to see them expanding and supporting artists of all communities.

Friendly setting, wide selection, and good prices. No complaints! I also enjoyed their books catered toward easy-yet-versatile art styles (like oven baked clay, printmaking at home, etc).

Nice compact Art & Hobby craft store. A little of everything and a lot of straight artist paints etc. I usually find whatever I need here unless it is very special.

Found this place by accident. I will compare it to Utretch Art Store in Manhattan. Quality products and good prices. Great selection of novelty items too.

Open 7 days and offering a lot, ask the staff if you dont see what you are looking for. They keep expanding and moving things around. For the best!

Nice selection of oil painting supplies. They seem to do a good job of stocking a good range of cheap to high end stuff to cater to everyone.
