After reading the yelp reviews about this jewelry buying company I gathered the battered and damaged gold and silver jewelry that I have had sitting around for sometime. I would like to note that I did not price my jewelry at any other shops so I can not honestly say that I got the best price. When I arrived I was greeted by Ron who was very friendly. He introduced me to his co-worker Steve and then he assessed the jewelry that I had. Once I realized that selling only the gold would be beneficial for me I inquired about their repair services. Ron offered to repair the silver jewelry that I had (2 bracelets and 1 set of earrings) free of charge but he was unsure about how long it would take. Of course I took him up on the offer. Fast forward about a month afterwards I call inquiring about my jewelry and the person I spoke to was clearly not Ron because they were not very friendly. I was told that my jewelry was not ready and he did not give a date when it would be. My receipt states that they are not responsible for goods left over 60 days and it is nearing that so I may just have to retrieve my broken jewelry after all.

Im going to break this review down about my experience with global gold and silver: The store: The location of the store is great, its right in the heart of Bay Ridge and was very easy to find on 3rd avenue. The atmosphere inside was really nice, very professional, clean and modern. The staff: Steve and Oshri were both very polite, informative and KNOWLEDGEABLE. I came here for an engagement ring and left with not only the perfect ring for my fiance, but I pretty much knew the ins and outs of the ring and diamond. We sat down and discussed the style, budget, etc. and we took it from there. The entire process took about 2 days, which is great because it took a ton of stress off of my shoulders. My fiance absolutely LOVED the ring, so I have no buyers remorse at all. The pricing: I basically saved about 30% on the ring. I got an incredible deal here and I definitely appreciate it. Its great to deal with a local store that can still give people a good deal.

I’m a long time coin collector whom has been trying to shuffle some of my collection for a fair price. I had researched a few places, looking for the one that will give me the fairest deal. When I came across Global Gold & Silver I was surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Instead of terribly impersonal, over the phone consultation that I had received from other locations, I was encouraged to bring in my collection. When I stopped by, I was greeted and attended to by the owner, Steve. He was very charismatic and his appraisal and explanations were honest and thorough. Even as an experienced coin collector, I felt comfortable parting with some of my collection and we were able to negotiate and settle a deal that same day. I will definitely be returning here in the future if I decide to sell any other precious metals.

I went to Global Gold & Silver to get an appraisal on gold and silver coins and jewelry for an estate I am executor of. I met with Steve who was very professional, while also warm and welcoming, and in my opinion, totally honest. Since I knew nothing about coins I did some research before I went there so that I would at least have some idea of prices. Steve spent a great deal of time with me explaining coin prices and gradings. He examined the jewelry I brought in a quoted me a price for each piece. While I did not sell some of the jewelry for sentimental reasons, I feel that he gave me a fair price for all of the merchandise I brought in. I would highly recommend Global to anyone and I would definitely use them again if the need arose.

Wow after reading the reviews I went over to the store and met Maurice. Such amazing customer service! I had to sell a ring and some necklaces and he made it all so easy. Seeing that it was warm outside he didnt hesitate to offer a cup of water before even discussing business. He made small talk while appraising the jewelry and made me feel comfortable. He gave me a fair price for what I brought and before letting me go offered me more water for the walk home. I believe everyone should go here for their jewelry needs. There isnt a dishonest bone in Maurices body. He such a good person I intend on finding a way to give him more business in the future.

Martin was helpful at finding me a good present to get my mom and the selection was very wide. They also have a lot of nice engagement ring for sale which I will be recommending to a few friends. I think I was here one before they renovated it, and now it looks like one of those fancy Manhattan jewelry stores. the diamond ring I bought here for my mom ended up being a little small, but they were able to re size it for me which only took a few days. the employees here try to give a good personal service, which important for a jewelry store in New York.

Love,Love, Love Ron, He is the best and most professional person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My fiance and I went in looking for a special engagement ring and fell in love. not only was the ring perfect and stunning but Ron had rose gold added to the inside of the diamonds to make the ring look more stunning than what it was. He went above and beyond to make this ring as special as it was just for me. We got the best deal for the quality of diamonds that I have on my ring. Cant wait to buy the wedding bands.

GLOBAL GOLD & SILVER did an amazing job creating a custom designed anniversary band. I showed the jeweler and his staff my engagement ring and explained what similarities I wanted to capture in the band and they created a ring beyond my wildest dreams. They were flexible, worked within my budget and I even melted down jewelry that was taking space in my jewelry box. Im very happy with the craftsmanship and customer service. All I can say is THANK GOD I came here for my fiances engagement ring. I had absolutely no clue to what I was supposed to look into, what settings are in style, what diamonds to get, etc. The staff over here really knows what theyre doing when it comes to engagement rings. They guided me through every step from choosing the setting to getting the perfectly cut diamond that made the ring look fantastic. The real critic was my fiance, and she gave it 2 big thumbs up.

I had a bunch of old watches & jewelry sitting around that I wasnt sure if they were worth anything. I took them to Global & they told me what was valuable & what wasnt. they were very professional & courteous. I walked out with hundreds of dollars that would have otherwise been laying around my house collecting dust. now Im going to dig out the old coin collections & see if they are worth anything! I would definitely recommend this place.
