Went in there to fix my 2002 yamaha r1..i asked for new ignition , new tires, and to fix my throttle..after 1 week I get a call that I need a new wire harness i asked him to show me and it took him 10 minutes just to take me to the back ..wire look freshly cut but I wanted to get my bike fixed I told him ok ..another week later i get a call that the bike is ready I went to pick it up and it was missing my mirrors , damper , and tail fairing..i told him about it and he put the damper in less then 5 minutes which I found out it takes more then that to set it up....i get home I notice my ignition is used and the key he had gave me was bent and cracked so that means I never got a new wire harness because wire harness comes with the ignition ..correct me if Im wrong ...he gave me a bullshit excuse that my neutral light was going to stay on no matter what gear I was because of a loose wire in the motor and he wanted to save me money that it wasnt going to be a issue ...told me that he put a used ignition because yamaha had a backorder of ignitions ...right ...so basically he charged $2100 for a used wire harness a used ignition .new tires and a recommended tune up and never got my throttle fixed I guess thats what I get for going over and telling him Im a new rider ...but he is quick to ask you for money ...my friend took my bike to go test it out and crashed in the bqe because of a faulty damper ..thanks for nothing I will let karma take care of it..i will take my business elsewhere

I went on craigslist to see what used bikes are out there (its a hobby). I saw this ad for a $50 oil change and a separate one for a 20 or 100 point check list. The ad said it was a one day special. I was at work and couldnt make it that day. I called to see if they could extend the offer which, they did. I went there and Sean (or Shawn, I dont remember how he spells it) gave me the special. (My bike had no issues with the clutch. Unlike when I took my Grom to New Yorks Best on Jamaica ave. ) I need new tires and break pads. I asked if I find better prices can on eBay or something similar what would he charge me. He quoted a price. I will order the tires and pads and go there. Why? Even though I am not crazy about the price he quoted his last words to me were, "I can work with you. It is not about the money. It is about custom service. I would like to have you as a customer." The shop is in Bushwick. A neighborhood that is full of hippsters so the gentrification cancer is metastasizing right there. And Brooklyn Mayd is not complete chemotherapy, however, it is healthy to have a small business owner who sees everyone as person rather than a walking ATM. I will be going back there. It would be nice if they offered simple repair classes or allowed people having their bikes worked on to see how things are done. But that would cause a higher insurance premium. In short, the more of us who had a good experience go back, the better the shop will get. SUPPORT LOCAL.

So I went through the horrible experience of getting my bike stolen but after an unbelievable story, I was able to get it back after 40 minutes. Thank you God for those people that helped me out getting my bike back. Now I need service because of course there is major damage to my bike. Ive been here a few times and Ive waited to leave a review. After this incident, its long overdue. You guys are super friendly and very caring, thanks for taking care of me during this difficult time. As a woman bike rider, I can tell you its hard to find a repair shop where you can feel at ease and not feel like the shop is out to cheat you. Sean, thanks for all the advice, thanks for the repairs, thanks for the comradeship. It has been a smooth experience knowing that this shop looked out for me and more importantly, you looked out for my bike. The only thing i can say that perhaps needs a second look is presentation. After the time my bike was there, I would have like a clean bike back. I went out to ride my bike which sounded as good as new and rode very strong but, my pants can do with a wash because of the seat. A wipe down would have been nice. Overdue wash and wax anyways. I hope this review helps other people know that there is good quality service here. I hope it especially helps out my fellow women riders out there. 5 stars for the friendliness, good quality service, speed, customer service and comradeship.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! They DROPPED my bike and damaged it the first time I went there. That was strike one. On the way home from the shop I noticed it was nearly impossible to shift gears which wasnt an issue before I went to this shop. When I returned, the owner Sean said I needed a new clutch which would be $350. I found it strange that I never had a "clutch" issue before I went to this shop. Sean swore it was the clutch and even said "I put any bike in my shop on it" to try and convince me into spending another $350. I left to get a second opinion and it turned out that this shop had left a couple of bolts loose on my slave cylinder for the clutch which affected the shifting on my bike (my bike has a hydraulic clutch). THIS SHOP DROPPED MY BIKE AND THEN TRIED TO SUCKER ME INTO BUYING A CLUTCH KIT!!! The owner is a LIAR and the mechanic Alex is no good! The "heavy duty" chain he put on my bike turned out to be a cheap Chinese chain. I will never return to this shop even if they offer me free labor or parts. Just wanted to share my experience, if you care about your bike take it to someone who knows what theyre doing. This shop will try to rip you off! With that being said, ride safe!

Terrible. Sean is a bullsh*tter and will tell you all types of stories to justify his work/prices. Dropped it off to get some basic work done, and he did all this extra stuff, added extra parts that I didnt need and didnt work with the bike, and charged me a ton. For example, he charged me $50 a pop for generic pod filters that you can get on Amazon for $10 and that if he spent 5 minutes googling wouldve learned didnt work with my bike (tossed them out to buy the appropriate part, which was already on there and he threw out). On top of that, he took almost a month to work on it, and never called me to give me any kind of update and never picked up his phone when I called. Bike stopped running soon after I picked it up, and rather than take it back to get scammed again, worked on it myself and it now runs better than after I got it from Brooklyn Mayd. Im a super understanding guy, but I just cant deal with dishonesty and thats what youll get here. Life is hard enough for NYC motorcyclists without dealing with crook mechanics. Stay away!
