I have been to this hardware store many times and I never had a bad experience with the staff. Sure its a little cluttered but it has pretty much everything you need. The man I usually see at the counter is always pleasant and most definitely speaks both English and Spanish. Also, whenever I asked for assistance he has always been helpful. The only bad experience I had was with a customer who was insulted that I thought she was an employee. She had measuring tape hanging from her neck and she directed someone to an aisle so I asked her for help. I apologized when she said she didnt work there but she still had an attitude. When I needed to get past her a few minutes later, I said "excuse me" and she refused to move. Even her boyfriend/friend told her that she looked like she worked there. The bad reviews here are probably from snooty people like that woman.

This store has been around for years now! It has a mom and pops kind of shop feel to it. For home improvement weve always found what we need & the sales associates will help us find replacements or encourage us to return on Thursdays which is when they restock! Again this is a familial type of neighborhood & Im sure there are other stores available in Manhattan if this place feels subpar to what some people are accustomed to.

Amazingly consistent with astonishingly bad service. If I took the time to list how many times Ive come in here looking for something simple only to be given the runaround and / or forgotten about / ignored.... you probably wouldnt believe me. Theres another hardware store just a couple blocks east. Go there instead. Hell, go into the city instead, even with the commute youre going to get helped and be back faster.

This is a great hardware store, they have everything you can imagine packed in there. They did some expansion work in the Spring of 2008 and now have Benjamin Moore paints and art supplies also. This store has been around for 30 years and they have employees that speak English, Spanish and Italian. If youre looking for a hard to find piece of hardware this is your place. They are open 7 days a week.

If you dont speak Spanish dont even think about going in there. They treat everyone really poorly and just ignore you/ if you ask any questions they get angry for answering them. Honestly the worst experience just trying to get one key copied. Not worth going in there. AT ALL.

Really excellent customer service the one time I was there. The guy was really patient with our hemming and hawing and slow decision making. Doesnt have quite everything that a big box store would but its in walking distance unlike those.

It was nice to find a lot of art and painting supplies. They have a nice new section dedicated for just Artist. The store gets pretty busy, Ive been there in the early morning and late evening, its better to go early.

Decent selection on hardware, materials & paint. Hours are incorrect though does not open at 9, been standing outside waiting for the doors to open for a half hour now and have places to be!

These guys are online. You dont have to walk through all the bubble gum and throw up to get a NY deal. Of course, there may be a slow delivery, but hay, hes one of us. (nj singer fade)
