I post my review only so that there may come a positive change. The only reason Ive rated so low is because the last time I went in, there were four or five salesMEN goofing off and conversing, all gathered around the center information counter. Being that I am not a young beauty, no one approached me to give me help. Finally another salesman was approaching from the back of the store ready to join the gang and I started walking toward him as no one seemed interested in approaching me. I approached him with this big question mark of an expression on my face. I guess he recognized it and then changed his course towards me. He then proceeded to help me. But quickly returned to his clique. Thinking I was done shopping I remembered I needed bug lights so I headed towards the light bulb aisle, but couldnt find the specific ones I wanted so I grabbed a few of the ones I found displayed. On my way to the register I asked this same salesman if these were the only kind of bug bulbs they had and very aloofly he answered whatever is there on the shelf is all we have". Somehow the very kind and helpful young lady manning the cash register overheard him and said to me No, we have the ones you are looking for, they are just on the bottom shelf. She then lead me back to that aisle and I made my purchase. These men seem to take their job fruitlessly. I do not want to deal with them again. You need more willingly helpful sales people like that kind and helpful young lady at the register. IF I go back, it will be because of her attentiveness towards a lost customer not knowing her way around. Please talk to that staff before you lose more customers!

I write this review in hopes that Samons mgmt. might show some interest. Both girls working the front counter were busy staring at their smart phones when my wife and I entered the store this morning. They were not to be bothered by our visit and never looked up. Once past the front counter one of the the guys at the center counter started shaking his head in a manner to say no when he saw the AC part that was in my hands. When I asked him if they sold the part he seemed agitated and said they didnt sell air conditioning parts. I told him I thought they did but he would only shook his head without comment. As we turned to leave one of the other guys at the counter said we could get the part at Johnstone Supply, to which I appreciated. As we passed the front counter on our way out, one of the ladies at least said thank you but never looked up from her smart phone.

Samons is a great place to compare prices on an appliance against the big box stores. I would suggest not calling, but actually stopping in in person to check out their inventory. A lot of times there are great clearance or scratch-and-dent deals in store. Their in-store customer service has always been at least decent if not exemplary. Theyll load the appliance in your vehicle for you if youre picking it up, which is nice. Overall, I think this is a great local business and I encourage anyone to stop in and check it out if you have a home improvement project youre working on.

Rip off. Sold me the wrong pipe and then would not let me return it because they cut it without telling me. Got some other items refunded and have yet to see that refund, did not tell me when. I would get my money back. Extremely rude!

Great prices compared to box stores. I needed some replacement media for my MasterCool, Samons had it for half the price that home depot did. Great local place that has very competitive prices.

Ive been a costumer of this particular Samons for 5 years. They have always been courteous and helpful. Go to this store first for all your plumbing, HVAC, and (some) appliance needs.
