The staff is amazing! I primarily deal with the hunting and guns department. If you want a location that exudes all the positive points for repeat business, look no further. As you walk in you are greeted by a friendly staff member as well as a great selection of mostly everything outdoors i.e. coats, hiking boots, GoPros, and tent equipment. The guns department, Ahhh, what it should be! Well stocked were talking about a 24ft length glass cabinet with pistols ranging from kimber and other high ends to your good ol reliable glocks and smith and wessons. Paralleling the cabinet the wall is stocked with about 20+ shotguns, 80+ center fire rifles semi auto, single shot, and Tacticool nonsense off to the side. Never fear, if its not on the rack chances are its in the back. All very comprably priced, again they cannot compete with gun broker prices but they give them a run for their digital dollar! Joe and John are very approachable and very helpful, not your typical super hardcore gun guys, just friendly very knowledge based if you dont know just ask, even if its silly they will let you know its a silly question but will inform you as to why and how without much fuss.(not degrading in any way) Ron is a pool of information but a little dry. If youre looking for bone straight facts he is your guy. Variety Value Quality and Consistency. What more can you ask for?!

As far as the firearms section goes, this place is absolutely abysmal. The staff is rude and unhelpful, making it seem like its a privilege for you to be in their dump store. Not only do they not really know what their talking about, but the store has engaged in tremendous price gouging in light of the recent events, they are betrayers to fellow Second Amendment Supporters. A gun that has a MSRP of $2600 was being sold for over $4000. When I found the SAME gun for a cheaper price, they refused to transfer it to me, just because I didnt want to pay their RIP OFF PRICE! Even after I was a repeat customer spending thousands of dollars at their location, they refused to make the transfer. I wouldnt go to this overpriced dump if it was the last gun shop on earth and I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy. I just couldnt imagine losing a lifetime customer over 1 measly transaction. I have many more things to buy and they would have been purchased at Ramsey Outdoor, but now there is a snowballs chance in hell of me going back there. Also if your interested in camping gear and outdoor clothing, you should just go to Campmor. They have cheaper prices and a better selection and would never walk all over their customers like this place. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else !

Good gun store. Most of the guys are nice but Ron the guy who runs the place, has a been pissed off at me for years because I changed my mind about a gun purchase. On a different occasion I bought an electric motor and returned it after using it for 1/2 hour and got major attitude from the manager in the sports department. He wound up taking the motor fight but not until he endured in long pissing match with me. I bought thousands of dollars worth of stuff from them. These old farts sometimes forget who the customer is and that the customer is always right. They need a major attitude adjustment and more training on how to deal with customers. Thats why i gave the store only 2 stars. Otherwise they have a good selection of gear. Just poor manners.

Walked in Saturday morning, just as one of the gun guys came in with two cups of coffee from outside. Drew took his, saw me, asked if he could help, and ignored his hot drink the whole time we had guns out. I asked his opinion on a Walther, he got it and a HK out for me to compare. Zero rush, all patience. When he saw I couldnt make up my mind, he suggested going to a range to rent and shoot both, knowing the range also has a gun shop. A store that prefers a happy customer long-term over making a quick sale (a $650 sale, no less) is a place to like. And, these guys are not on commission.

Ive been shopping at the Ramsey store for over 7 years and have purchased 4 firearms from them so far. I am planning to purchase another one in the up coming days. Ron the sales manager of the gun department has always come thru for me on the guns I wanted. Never had a problem yet. I am looking to purchase a small caliber hand gun but Ron told me that the manufacturer is out of stock on them, and he was right. I checked online and there are none around, of the model I want.

Recently purchased a gun from them, everyone in the gun department was very friendly and knowledgeable. They took there time to go over all the pros and cons of the guns, I was considering. I decided on a particularly gun and color. Ron the gun manager was extremely helpful, I put a deposit on the gun and when it came in they called me to pick it up. This is my second gun purchases from Ramsey. I have and will continue to recommend this store.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Getting harder to get good face to face contact in this internet based economy. They know their stuff and are happy to share it. Will be there to follow up as long as the internet doesnt take away sales and put them out of business like so many other brick and mortar stores. Always a pleasure to discuss fishing, hunting, etc with these guys and gals. And there prices are reasonable on top of it too!

I see why the Paramus store closed. I asked about hand guns and the guy did not stop stocking the shelves to help me . He says they are in the case over there. I see five autoimatics and no revolvers. Guy says it takes a year to get a revolver. OOOOkay. A previous visit to the same store for fishing equipment was great and the young sales guy was very helpful and knowledgable. Ask about guns and they act like your a criminal..

The firearms counter is guilty of price gouging. Bought 2 magazines with were listed on the Magpul website for half of what they charged me. I called one lady said I could price match. puts me on hold and I get told by someone else I can not do a price match and was then told that I should have bought them online. Very rude and because of this I will avoid doing business with them in the future.

They carry good brands, are knowledgeable & dont pressure you if browsing. Service is questionable at times; gun sales associates are cold & unapproachable sometimes ; They closed their store @ 5:46pm one Sunday evening when their hours on the door said 6pm. 14 min early? Really? I knew exactly what i wanted, my visit wouldnt have taken long. They lost a $200+ sale that day.

The self proclaimed tournament fisherman at the fishing section doesnt know his ass from his elbow. He gave me 10 pound test for 2lb bass. If that wasnt bad enough he didnt even do it correctly. I had to end my fishing day early because of this guys lack of knowledge. Plus its over priced!!!
