Great prices, great selection, but horrible customer service. I went in 2 weeks ago to shop for a jacket. There was a great sale going on, so despite the fact that I didnt receive any assistance from an employee, I came back the next day & purchased a North Face coat. Despite my better judgement, I went back today to shop for some pants for an upcoming trip to Yellowstone. I was in the store for more than 20 minutes and not a single employee greeted me or attempted to assist me. This happened midday on a Wednesday, and at one point, Im fairly certain that there were more employees than customers in the store. Needless to say, I left without making a purchase today, and I will not return. "Fool me once..."

I live south of the Metroplex and thought there were only stores like this on the North side. Bought my wife some top quality ski pants on clearance, but thought I could save a few bucks on socks and thermals at the big chain stores. Found out that even their regular price at Mountain Sports on Smartwool beats the competition. Also found that you can still get everything you need for skiing even in March, the other stores had very little left and already had the swimwear out. Knowledgeable, friendly staff, and a great selection of top brands for many outdoor activities. I highly recommend this store.

Simply the best! Ive been to Mountain Sports many times over the years but never really made it my "regular" shop until I moved to Arlington. I have shopped at several other big name chain outdoor stores and none compare to the superior knowledge and service that the Mountain Sports staff has. Also, you can search the web for the best prices and I guarantee Mountain Sports will be equal or less than what you find and you will pay much higher prices at the local big stores. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time anywhere else.

Just had my first ever experience with Mountain Sports and I am SO impressed and happy. I needed to get a new backpack, and not only was this the only place that had it for $30 cheaper than everywhere else, I got free shipping! On top of that, I received it extremely quickly. I placed my order around midnight on Sunday and got it Wednesday afternoon (not to mention this place is in Texas and Im in Ohio). Couldnt be happier with my experience and I will certainly be going through Mountain Sports for future purchases!

I never leave reviews, but I had to this time! I had been searching online ALL DAY for a very specific pair of Chacos and they were the only store that still had them in the size I needed (and they were cheaper, too). I placed my order on a Friday at 2:15 p.m. It is now the following Monday at 9:30 and I just checked my email to see if theyd shipped, and theyre already out for delivery! I am completely amazed at the speed of delivery. I wasnt expecting to see them until Wednesday. Thank you Mountain Sports!

These guys had a good price on a last years model kayak that I wanted. I drove up there, picked it up, and the guys at the store were fun, knowledgable, and good to deal with. They helped me put my rack system on my car, even. I accidentally forgot the paddle I had bought, and they sent it to me, without me asking or anything. It just showed up on my doorstep a couple days later. Good experience.

Great place to buy anything out doors. I bought my Jackson Cuda 12 here and all the accessories I needed price was fair and on somethings better then online. Customer service is top notch and they dont sell you stuff they dont actually use themselves. Everytime I go there I feel like Im talking to a friend and not a sales person. Very knowledgeable staff and super friendly.
