I had been to just about every fabric store/warehouse in Union and Ocean counties when a friend told me to try Halsey Fabrics. It was there that I found the perfect fabric and the prices were so much better then all the other places Id gone to. The quality of the fabrics I purchased was also excellent. Even my upholsterer was impressed. The customer service was amazing, as they went above and beyond to assist and for that reason alone I will recommend them to everyone I know and go there from now on. I wish I had know about them before I began my exhaustive search, especially since they are only twenty minutes away! Go there first before you go anywhere else!

I was looking for select materials for a project I was working on.. so I gave them a call to make sure they had what I was looking for.. The gentlemen that picked up the phone told me they had exactly what I was looking for, so I showed up and ended up buying more than what I was looking for just because they had everything that I needed and more. The staff was very helpful and friendly and would gladly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a very well stocked fabric store in the area.

New to Newark and looking for a place to go and pick up some fabric. This place is small for the amount of items they have, but the service was terrific and the staff was not only friendly but very helpful. The selection of items that were available to me was terrific and the staff was more than willing to order something that I wanted if they didnt have it in stock. Definitely a place I will stick with when it comes to my fabric and sewing needs.

This is definitely one of the best stocked fabric shop I have been to in this hood. Located conveniently at 10 min walk from Newark Penn station, this place tons of different varieties of fabric which would satisfy everybodys needs. I went there to buy something in particular, the staff was very friendly and helped me find what i was looking for. FYI- There are open from Mon-Sat from 10-6.

I shopped in person for thread, buttons and glue. Huge range of thread and button colors and of button styles. Very reasonably priced. I was not in the market for fabric or trims but was amazed at the selection (including beads!) and will definitely try there first when I need those items. The staff was patient & extremely helpful. The store atmosphere was pleasant.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very important for a nervous beginner like myself. Mike went the extra mile to help and give advice regarding sewing a zipper. Making my first "cocktail dress" and left out feeling more confident than I did going in.

This store is incredible. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. The prices are terrific and there is no better selection around. I go far out of my way to get there, as I do not live close to Newark, but I go there every time I shop. Go see it!!!
