I went into this poor excuse of a market today with my 2 month old puppy. I didnt see a sign for no dogs so I walked in. On top of having expired ITALIAN BREAD...I asked the girl at the register who claimed to be owner of this "reputable establishment" for pesto sauce. She directed me to the pesto sauce while still on her cellphone and stated next time not to bring the dog in also added a brief review about putting hooks outside for dogs (who cares!) I replied okay thank you I probably wouldnt leave my puppy there but thank you. Then she countinued to run her mouth on the phone about me carrying a dog to her aunt and even stated well Im speaking to my aunt. This is unacceptable behavior and definitely not customer service. I highly doubt this young overly pierced girl was the owner who decided to throw her life away scanning groceries. As a resident, home owner and business owner in Moonachie NJ I think this business is the reason why the economy and financial structure cannnot and has not grown in Moonachie . Perhaps if consumers stop buying their expired products they would be nonexistent. This review is being mindful and I not detailing what I will to better business bureau. March 26, 2017 day after first posting. Sara the manager has responded. I do not know a Sara, nor would I expect anyone other than the owner who mistreated me at the store to respond. I also think the store needs individuals who can at least SPELL to respond to a google review. Another example of their poor choices and business representation. AS STATED YESTERDAY, a poor establishment , that requires customer service training and implementation. I will allow the state of New Jersey to figure out why was I mistreated, and why was my dog discriminated against, without knowing why I was carrying a dog. Perhaps the owner who ridiculed me to her aunt on the phone, could explain that to the state of New Jersey. In ITALIAN we say, CON TUTTO IL RISPETTO GOOD LUCK! P.S. I just wanted Pesto Sauce. :-)

As support to Queen Dees statement, there has never been a sign NO DOGS ALLOWED on the stores front. Perhaps there is one there now after the incident occurred. In addition, I read your review and interpret your dissatisfaction is with the mistreatment from someone who claimed to be the owner. However Queen Dee please know there is a law that prohibits public establishments such as stores, supermarkets etc covered under New Jerseys regulations that protect consumers. I may be able to get you help please contact me. I will also add the other reviews here do not seem "authentic" and perhaps falsified through relatives. Its also unfortunate the person who claimed to be the owner who treated you poorly, did not respond but Sara whos a store manager did. Again Queen Dee please reach out to me I can help.

My favorite market - and - if you live in Moonachie or Little Ferry, this is where you shop. Owned & operated by an awesome family, which in 2017 is rare. Their sandwiches are awesome & if you eat at the local restaurants, guess whose produce youre eating? Barakats, thats whose. One thing I love about Barakat is that as a market, its eclectic. They have items from all over the globe. This week alone Im enjoying cucumber salad imported from Poland & Pocky candy from Japan. Oh, along with my turkey, salami & pepper jack cheese sub:) Barakat rocks!!!!!
