Day in and day out my biggest disappointment is walking by ACME and not seeing a giant hole in the earth where it once stood. Can we just all agree not to give this horiffic place anymore business? I know its close, so were stuck and we only have ourselves to blame for returning. But this has to be the single worst food store I have ever shopped in. Items consistently expired and rotting on the shelves. The lack of having ANYTHING at this store is mind blowing. No strawberries on a Sunday morning???? The useless staff that always act like you are asking them to draw blood when you ask anything (esp the white haired lady behind thr courtesy counter). Can we all just seriously stop shopping here and hope this place goes under so something better will move in? Please?

I worked here for about a year. The customers were extremely nice, I always did my best to make sure everyone got what they needed. According to the work staff a.k.a. the front ends, we always didnt do our job good enough, always complaining and making us do out-of-criteria jobs, giving us no other choice, like we needed the job to live... Yeah I really need 8.38/hr to live... After working a year there what do I get as a reward, a small promotion? No a 9¢ raise.... This place is 100% awful and dont care about their customers at all, 70% of the employees act like its a high-school drama.

I will no longer shop at this store because of an employee named Carol. She has to be the rudest little prick ever! I refuse to spend my money where there is blatant disrespect to the customers, who by the way are the reason employees are able to sustain employment in the first place. Plus, a lot of their item prices went up like 1000% percent (Im exaggerating, but you get the point). The rotisserie chicken used to be $4.99, and now its somewhere around $20. Like seriously? Lol, I think Ill stick with Shoprite!

Quality has decreased significantly since the A&P which was once here became Acme, as it is today. The overall selection and quality of goods is low in an objective sense, not just relative to the former A&P. Produce here is almost always wilted or overripe. (Seriously, Ive not once in the past three months come home with veggies that were entirely un-bruised or fresh.) Unlike the prices, the atmosphere feels cheap. No thought is being put into customer experience. The fish monger is nice, though.

Smaller than ShopRite so selection is limited. Theyve got the basics. Sometimes I cant find an ingredient I need, like coconut milk. Its convenient but the prices are a little higher than elsewhere. Reeses minis are 12.99 versus 10.99 at Shoprite. Good people. Mr. Mills has been a manager there for as long as I can remember.

What a supermarket should be, clean and always stocked. It has a nice gluten free isle. All the pet necessities needed for the Hoboken pup. A little longer wait then the shop rite lines, other wise it is a good friendly super market.

I find the prices here are often high compared to other super markets and their selection is lacking. quite often they are out of produce and other goods which is frustrating. Id rather go to shoprite then here.

Acme did away with the liquor department. I was quite impressed with the fact that several staff offered me help as I wandered around the store. I believe the Acme prices are better than A&Ps were.

Cheaper than places on Washington st for every day groceries, but doesnt have a good produce selection or price point. Only good if you dont have time to get to shoprite.

Been here a few times in the past couple months. Most of the meats I buy spoils witin 2-3 days and produce doesnt last more than a week. Its good for commodities
