I am writing about Chatham Booksellers in Chatham ,N J. I was looking for a book about Berkeley Heights, N J. "From the Passaick to the Wachunks" which I saw on Facebook. We lived in Berkeley Heights during the time the book was written. 1977 during the bicentennial. My son Arthurs picture is in the book. I decided to see if I could find a bookstore in Chatham which might have used books. I called the number listed and a very nice person answered, Mr. Mann. I told him what I was looking for and he said he thought he might have that book in the basement! He checked and called me back and said he did have it. Ive been going there regularly since I was 15 and can recommend no other bookstore that can compare. Everyone one of their selection of books has merit and character, and the prices are perfect. The wooden floorboards and sturdy bookshelves do not feel crowded or cramped, but well-utilized and well worn by decades of customers. Ive been in love with this store for almost twenty years now, and I hope someday you get the opportunity to pop in and look around.

Theyve got so many books, the only thing I didnt like about it was the price range (mostly $5 a book). Theyre def cheaper than brand new books. Theyve got tons of cool books to look through. The people working there clearly have a passion for what they do and it shows in how they interacted with us. Very helpful people, not pushy at all either. Has the largest selection of used books anyone could want to buy of any Used bookstore Ive been to.

Chatham Bookseller is the best store of its kind. You get a unique service and a valuable resource. The owners are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. You get a good price both when you sell annd when you buy used books.

Amazing Bookstore! I found so many of my books for classes at Drew University, even a beautiful facsimile of the Cloisters Apocalypse manuscript! Wonderful place to go to have a delightful break from classes. A students dream!
