This is a nice bookstore, but it used to be a nice work environment too - you used to be able to sit with your laptop and study/work, whatever. I used to do a lot of freelance work there b/c psychologically I get more work done outside of my house than I do sitting home. They have gotten so money hungry that they have taken away all of the chairs and tables upstairs - and its just like blank useless space now, so now the only place to sit is downstairs in the cafe. You can stay there for a while, but if you dont keep buying stuff (like every half hour or so), they kick you out after a while. Dont they realize that people who do freelance work or study in their store DO turn around and buy things? I used to shop there all the time. Not so much anymore. If bookstores want to compete with online sellers such as Amazon, they need to appeal to those who use their store for more than books. They need to bring the tables and chairs back upstairs and stop the managers and employees at the cafe from being so annoying.....especially when the cafe is empty!!!!! I am a considerate person, if there are no tables and chairs for people who want to eat - If I am finished with my food/drink purchase, I will get up and move so that someone who wants to eat can have a seat. But they enforce this policy when the place is empty! The only reason I still gave this location 3 stars is that its a nice book store with lots of inventory and a used book section, which is rare. Bring back the store of like 5 years ago with all the study space upstairs. It was one of my favorite spots, and I spent way too much money there!

Ive been coming here since I was little, but lately I cant stand it. The employees are among the rudest people Ive ever met. Today I went and bought about 20 bucks worth of merchandise and went to go sit with my family at the seats in the Starbucks portion of the store. I did have a milkshake from another store. I figured since I was actually a PAYING customer instead of all the other people reading books and not buying them or just using the broadband and not actually buying ANYTHING at all, sitting down wouldnt be such a big deal. I was wrong. One of the workers kicked me out. Also when I was browsing books an employee bumped against me twice and said "move it girls" to my sister and I. A few weeks ago I was there and apparently you are only allowed to sit on certain sides of the tables because I was asked to moved. There was like 7 feet of room around me so I dont know what the problem was. I am never buying anything from here again.

Unfortunately, the employees are very rude at this Barnes & Noble. It ruins the experience of looking at books, buying books and buying from their cafe. They all need a lesson in customer service and frankly the management should step in and enforce better treatment to customers. Although the other locations in the area have horrible parking situations, I would rather give them my money. I have witnessed an employee yell at an elderly couple while they put down their book on the table to look to see if they were buying the book that they wanted. In another situation, they have yelled at a child who was quietly reading and told him he couldnt sit there because he didnt buy something from their cafe while the mother was on line. It is a shame because this store is in an ideal location; however, if management doesnt hire new employees the reputation of the store will be destroyed.

RUDE & PUSHY MANAGERS! Got kicked out of Barnes & Noble Cafe because I disposed of their product. I threw away the $5 frappucino drink I ordered (because it sucked really bad) and now I do not have their "product" at my table so I am no longer considered a customer. The cafe manager came over and in a pushy and unfriendly attitude told me to either buy something else or leave. She said I have 5 minutes to clear out of there ! I spoke to the store supervisor who seemed to not really care and like I was wasting his time - said that the policy is necessary to make sure all customers have place to sit - (even though it was half empty). Way to care about the community you are occupying, Barnes and Nobles ! This place is getting more corporate and f@@@d up towards the people who have actually been living in this town much longer then they have.

The employees are so RUDE AND ABARSIVE!!! I sat down in the café section and after I finished my drink, I continued to read. A heavy-set blonde employee with glasses came up to me and told me I had to leave because I wasnt purchasing anything at that moment. Mind you, I had been sitting there a total of 20 minutes and there were at least 5 open tables around me. Also, I am 8 MONTHS PREGNANT!!!! She was being so rude that even a customer next to me chimed in that she was being out of line. She told me that I had to leave otherwise she would call the manager. I asked for the manager, who never came. I work in customer service and would never in my life talk to a customer the way this girl talked to a paying, pregnant customer.

Good bookstore as expected by the name. Its clean and has plenty of books. But this location needs a larger seating area or more places to sit throughout the store. They seem to want people in and out asap. If I just want a book I can use amazon. I come to bookshops to browse and sample books before I buy them (at the store). Aside from cafe seating, which should be for cafe patrons to eat, they only have 3 benches by the magazine rack. Thats it, in the entire store.

I love Barnes&Noble. There books are all the latest and are so organized. All workers are extremly respectful and helpful. They helped alot and were even able to recommend books and know there stuff on them. In this Barnes&Noble, youll definatly find the book your looking for and if you dont theyll help you lots in the findings and will call other places to see where it could be located. I reccomend this Barnes&Noble to all!!

Rude employees whose hawkish enforcement of store policies such as only cafe customers allowed in the cafe area, and no outside food/beverage allowed in the cafe area is atypical of B&N locations and very anti-guest. I can understand the policies, but a little common sense in their enforcement goes a long way.

They open late, like 9am? Really? Also, employees are rude, I went to ask for help finding a series of books Ive been interested in, and they told me to F off because they were "busy", meanwhile all they were doing was gossiping about other customers!!!
