A true gem in the Hudson Valley. As a book lover, I have traveled to several privately-owned bookstores in NY. The collection at Ye Olde Warwick Book Shoppe rivals the best. I especially love their rare book section, which consists of renowned classics like John Stuart Mills On Liberty and Ernest Hemingways A Farewell to Arms. Dispersed throughout the store are little note cards that contain the owners recommendations; one of which actually convinced me to make a purchase! Overall, great collection, beautiful atmosphere, and kind owners.

Very unfriendly if you are visiting with children. Was hoping to purchase some books for my boys and was immediately told I couldnt enter with a stroller. When going to leave the woman proceeded to comment that she couldnt believe I was trying to bring my triplets into the store. Its a bookstore- shouldnt children also be able to purchase books to share in the love of reading?
