The staff in this store is so helpful. They offer free deliveries and even carried my large dogs heavy crate up to my apartment for me. My dog came home from the shelter with a bad case of dermatitis and the staff offered me free samples of food to try for him and when I realized that he was thriving on food with fish, they special-ordered a case of his favorite wet food for me -- no extra charge. The store, itself, is very tight, and my dog often tries to nab a toy or two on his way around, so be ready to keep your eye on him/her. Otherwise, I love this place. The service and community-oriented attitude really reminds me of the stores in our neighborhood when in was growing up in Greece. Its really great to see such care for owners and their pets! ps. In a casual price comparison -- Beowoof is cheaper than or the same as Petco in Union Square, which came as a real surprise to me the first time I stopped in. Its so much more convenient that even if something was more expensive (I think the food comes to maybe $.30 more a can for the brand I buy), Id still come here to support a local business where they are getting to know my dog and his needs and can offer personalized help.

This little shop has an abundance of charm and character, not to mention the single best name and slogan Ive ever seen for a pet shop: Beowoof: Provisions for Pets. For two years now, Beowoof has been my destination for every dog-related thing Ive needed. When I came in looking for new food, the owners were extremely helpful with suggestions and even provided several samples for him to try. I had expected they were a bit overpriced based on the location and boutique-sized inventory they keep, but when I checked around to see if I was overpaying for my dogs food (Fromm Surf and Turf), I was pleasantly surprised to find that they actually beat the best rates on Amazon (even before shipping). I would strongly recommend Beowoof to anyone in Hoboken!

I actually look forward to running out to get dog food. The staff are so friendly and they are always fully stocked with needs for our dog. Plus they are always quick to say hello, ask how were doing by name (including our dog) and now have a customer loyalty program which was unnecessary but who doesnt love that? If you have a pet in Hoboken, its the best around and honestly one of my favorite stores in town.

I brought my new dog here to find a cute harness since shes very strong and I had a hard time walking her due to pulling. The woman there asked if we needed help and found us the cutest pink and gray harness and matching leash! Its helped so much with the pulling and its the best one I saw even from the ones online. I also got an adorable red dog scarf (didnt even know they existed) from here too!

Best Pet Store in Hoboken ! They take the time to get to know their customers and whenever i walk in with my dog King they know exactly what Ill be getting. When I say "Puppy store? my dog jumps up and knows its Beowoof time and will literally guide me there like he is in auto pilot!
