Dont bring your pets here for examinations or anything that has to do with the health of your pet !!! I brought my dog here for an ear infection and my dog was perfectly fine ! No pain or anything she just kept shaking her head and her ear was swollen so all I needed was medicine and for her to be looked at in the ear. They take me to a room with her check her temp and examine her body and the vet said I have to take her to another room to take a swab. Now I always took my dog to Hamilton vet across from Hamilton high west but they didnt have any openings so I had no choice but to bring her here. And with the vet I always go to they do everything in front of me and never take her to a separate room for "swabbing" they do it right there. Anyways they took her and told me to stay in the room. They took about 15 min. And then came back handed her to me and my dog was shaking like crazy. I just thought she got scared of the swabbing in her ear. Then they escorted us to the front desk I paid and got her medicine and got home and she went running straight to her cage crying. I kept wondering why was she crying so I went and started doing a physical exam my self just touching around moving her limbs to check what was hurting. Once I got to her neck she was screaming and didnt want me to touch her. I picked her up and she just kept crying called the vet and asked why was she crying they said she might be in pain for her ear I said how if she wasnt in pain before we got there. They said bring her in we will perform a physical. I said no u guys did something to her when you took her to the other room and they hung up on me. I then went to my usual vet the next day luckily someone canceled and they didnt a physical they said she had a neck injury. I explained the story and they said petsmart might of handled her roughly, they prescribed her some pain medicine and I paid and scheduled a follow up for her ear and neck. I dont think petsmart handled her roughly they hurt her on purpose ! And then all of a sudden now Im seeing all these stories on my fb of some friends that had the same problem with this pets smart I wish I knew before I took her ! NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE THEY WILL HURT THEM AND WONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

I just came home from having my 15 pound miniature beagles nails grinded and cut. I have never had a problem at this store, until today. The young girl at the front desk greeted me when I came in, and when I entered the salon, the woman with the ponytail at the computer was sweet and polite. She was gracious enough to fit me in since I did not have an appointment. I went to the front and paid and was on my way back with my receipt, when I heard someone yelling, "Stop that!" a number of times. The door was propped open so when I walked in I was shocked at what I saw. An older woman with short blonde hair was cutting Baileys nails. Bailey was muzzled (I have no idea why) and she was giving her a hard time. I stood frozen. Every other time Bailey had this done, she has stood stoic on the table. She was crying and pushing backwards on the table, but the reason why was becuse she was being yelled at. The poor woman at the computer was sweet and went over to her when she saw me. I cant believe what I saw. My tiny, sweet dog was muzzled and being yelled at, which was completely uncalled for. I will never go to this groomer again and the older woman should be fired for abuse.

The store always has a decent selection of food and treats for my dogs. The grooming salon has always done a great job with their cuts, baths and trim ups. The only time I ever had an issue with a groomers cut job was many years ago when they first opened. I got my dog home and noticed some scratches on her from the trimmers. I called the store and spoke with the person who did her cut who was not in any way accepting responsibility, I then spoke with the store manager who refunded my credit card and put on file for me that groomer was never again to be assigned to any of my dogs. We have not had any problems since then. I see a few posts about the Vet that is in there. People understand that BANFIELD is the Vet and they are Partnered with Petsmart. Petsmart does NOT have any authority over them. Your complaints should be filed with Banfield. I have taken my dogs to see Dr. Snelling at this location since 2005. I have never had an issue with them hurting my dogs. They also performed my females spay surgery and no issues. Regardless of that you should be placing your bad reviews for Banfield NOT for Petsmart

If I could give this a 0 rating I would! Jennifer Thiel the lady at the computer desk for the Banfield pet hospital was very rude and disrespectful! My 16 year old sister helps me take care of my dog so when I go to the vet she goes with me! If I forget something she butts in and talks just like I would! My sister told the women that they only give us one heart worm pill a month and that is ALL she said! Jennifer processed to butt in wave her hand at my sisters face and tells her to shut her mouth and calm down that shes not aloud to talk! That was so rude and disrespectful and I am the reason she gets a paycheck! I will not be disrespected like that when the care of my dog is in their hands! I WILL NOT be back ever again and I will not be disrespected by a low piece of scum like her! My husband is fighting for her freedom and she makes minimum wage. So I will be speaking to a manager and I hope she gets fired! This is not the first time she has been rude and I hope other people report her too! I DO NOT recommend go to the banfield EVER!

Today my mom brought her 6 month old puppy in to get fixed.. Before going in he was PERFECTLY fine... The doctor informed my mom that while putting the IV in our poor little Timmy started coughing .. Well they continued to put the IV in apparantly.. And it flooded his lungs with fluids... They then directed her to the animal hospital where she was then told it will cost 4500 to try and save his life with a 20-30% chance of him making it.. In my eyes pet smart should have been paying that money.. But of course they wont cuz in their eyes it isnt their fault.. Needless to say our poor Timmy is being put down today after living a short life.. All because the doctors here are obviously inexperienced or made a mistake and wont own up too it... This place is a disgrace and this story needs to hit the streets..
