We have been purchasing from H&H Appliance Center for over 15 years, so when we were planning our kitchen renovation we turned to them again. This experience has been a big disappointment. Out of the four separate appliances that we purchased, three have had issues. The wrong refrigerator was delivered, the dishwasher was damaged and the wine fridge leaked. To make matters worse, the Customer Service Representative is only in on certain days of the week and when she is, she is not the most responsive or attentive representative. When she ordered the wrong part for the dishwasher (after having waited several months), she just wrote "sorry". I would have expected a phone call and more of a sincere apology. We are still waiting, so at this rate it will be close to Thanksgiving before all the errors are corrected and we started this process in July! I must say that the service representative that delivered the wrong part was very nice and expressed the appropriate amount of apology. It is too bad since we had obviously had much better experience in the past. 11/17 - Dear Nicole- since I wrote the review we encountered an issue with the Samsung oven. This makes four out of four appliances with issues. I have been dealing with Kenny and he has been very helpful, but we were scheduled for service on the oven today and not a word from Samsung. Of course, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we have no oven! Our hopes of celebrating our first holiday in our newly renovated kitchen are looking very dim. I am at a loss. I understand that Samsung is playing a large part in these issues, but nonetheless it is the worst experience all around. 11/29 (update) Well, we thought the service to replace the motherboard had resolved the problem, but as our continued bad luck would have it, the oven failed to work on Thanksgiving day! We had to scrap a 20 lb turkey and await response from Samsung on how to resolve this issue. H&H replaced the oven today, but not without chipping the soapstone counter (they were cautioned to be especially careful). While we appreciate a new oven, we are just plain disgusted with this entire experience. It has been a nightmare.

Purchased a Samsung slide in range. When it was delivered the delivery staff advised me it would not work in my kitchen. In all fairness, the sales staff went above and beyond to re deliver a range that would work. That’s where the problems start. The range was installed and I went to use my microwave. Had a power failure two times. Since I never had an issue prior to the installation of the range I contacted the store. After going back and forth with one of the sales staff I said I wanted the range removed from my home. He started yelling at me telling me how they did everything they could to deliver a range to me and was berating me for 10 minutes. How it would inconvenience them to have to come and get the range, told me he would have to charge me delivery and restocking fees because they are there to make money. The bottom line is no one advised me that either range would require a dedicated electrical circuit. The sales staff should be knowledgeable about specifications for the appliances they are selling for the safety of the consumer.

FANTASTIC and highly recommended! I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set 6 months ago and cannot begin to explain how wonderful of a customer experience the staff delivered and how happy I am with the purchase. Buying appliances whether it be for a refrigerator, washer, stove, etc. is not a common purchase for many and certainly not for myself so I went in blind and ignorant of the market. Sure you can do basic online searches and read the testimony of other customers (like this one) but the one-on-one discussions you can get at H&H is unique and rare nowadays. Maybe it is that they are a family run business, and call me old fashioned but sometimes chain stores arent the best when you have to make a high ticket purchase for an item that you dont frequently shop for. The experience/expertise and interest the staff shows in their customers is so greatly appreciated. Also, the showrooms are beautiful and fun to visit and look at for inspiration and ideas for home decor. Five stars!

Terrible customer service!!! I purchased a very expensive Kitchen Aid refrigerator with a Service Agreement. This along with thousands of dollars in other appliances. The fridge stopped working within a month. I have now waited two weeks for H&H service to come back with a part. Its 2017- it doesnt take this long to get a part. Two weeks without a functioning and very expensive refridgerator! Finally a service appointment was scheduled and I requested WELL in advance that it be after 1pm as I was away. A tech called this morning saying he would be there at 12 and when I asked that he come after 1 as previously requested he said that he could not wait for me and I should reschedule. Will never purchase from here again and will advise others the same. My next phone call will be NBC10 Responds Team.

We ordered a $3000 Kitchen Aid refrigerator from H & H and it was delivered defective. The salesman did not return my phone calls. Mary in customer service was supposed to order new drawers to resolve the issue. She was unapologetic for the problem. After 18 days of waiting for a phone call about the replacement drawers NOTHING. I have had to call them over and over again to resolve this problem. To date, I still do not have the new replacement drawers, and am waiting for a call back from Mary. The customer service is HORRIBLE, especially if you experience any kind of problem. While the prices are good, delivery men and installers were kind and helpful, the salesmen and customer service are incompetent and completely ignore you after your appliance is delivered. Do not recommend at all.

Prices so inflated its nauseating. We wanted a particular gas range in black stainless steel. The LIST price at all other major retailers was $1099, on sale for $750. The salesman at H&H told us $1475. When we asked if they price matched, he said it wouldnt make sense to sell it for any less and basically dismissed us and went away. I know we all have to make a living but it needs not be at the ridiculous expense of unsuspecting customers. If you have a phone or tablet, check other major stores online prices first. So much for buying local.

H and H went above and beyond what they needed to do. We purchased a Kitchen Aid fridge and the compressor failed after 3 months. Kitchen Aid customer service was awful. They wouldnt come out for service for over a week, over Thanksgiving. We called H and H and they sent over a loaner fridge. Kitchen Aid also refused to replace the refrigerator, even when the service guy told us to demand a new one. We called H and H and they were able to get us a new one within a week. They are the best appliance store around.

A brilliant example of what is lacking in business today: KNOWLEDGE and GENEROUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Associates have raved about them and I had the opportunity to consult about a washer they sold. Instant answer on the phone. Bright and attentive voice. Willingness to listen, understand and advise. This flawless and consistent attitude begins at the very top and goes through every department and employee on board. Do patronize this business with confidence!
