My mom called repair service to have her dryer fixed on a Monday morning. The man, Stan, came on Wednesday, (even though the ad says Same day service) to fix it, and diagnosed it as a clogged dryer vent, even though the vents had recently been cleaned and the heat was not working at all. My mom indicated that the vent was clean and the heat wasnt working but he did not listen, left and called vent cleaners. They came on Friday to clean the vents but the heat still did not work and the dryer was not drying. They were going to charge $250 to clean the vents, but it did not fix the problem. She rescheduled for repair and was told the repairman would come out that day. He never came and never called. On Monday (now a week later) my mom and dad run into the vent cleaner guys at the store and they asked if her dryer was fixed. She said no, he never showed up. She told them she was hiring someone else. They (who were nice) asked her not to do that. They called the office, and Stan was supposed to come out be there between 3:30 and 5:00 on Monday. He came after 5:00 pm. My mom expressed that she was disappointed and said he didnt need to be scolded. My mom said she was just expressing facts. My dad asked him if he could fix the dryer or not and he said, "yes, but not with your wife in the room." My mom told him to get out. Service from vent guys was friendly. We are not sure what Stans issue was but he was extremely grouchy and rude. Even at the first visit he wouldnt look anyone in the eye. He came in with a bad attitude. I think Stan hates his job and it shows. Stan should find something he enjoys doing instead of being miserable and rude to people who need service.

Highly recommend! Was phoning around for fridge replacement as old one on fritz and food in friends apartment, in a cooler with ice, or thrown out. Found Coastal Maytag in Ocean View, DE online. Did not have any knowledge or previous experience with them, Stan was friendly, very helpful, and efficient. Saw photo online of fridge that would fit. Ordered with them as Stan said could deliver next day. The crew that came and was wonderful. The movers and technician were all pleasant and knowledgeable. Technician had a very neat set of every imaginable tool in a roll up belt. They came when they said they would come. Up the elevator to our small galley kitchen. And in a matter of minutes, the old fridge was gone (included in price), checked ice cube maker was working, leveled the whole thing, and new fridge was up and running.

The Tech (Bill Mitan) sent out to service my refrigerator was very knowledgeable and thorough. His initial diagnosis was a faulty main circuit board. However, he went one step further and removed the cover inside the refrigerator and found that the water drain for the defrost operation was clogged causing a freeze up condition that prevented the defroster from operating properly. Subsequently, he was able to unclog the drain, defrost the frozen part of the system and restore the refrigerator to its proper operating condition. I was very pleased with his tenacity in locating the problem, not to mention his ability to correct it. Well done Coastal Maytag, thanks for sending such a knowledgeable repair technician. Ordered new refrigerator which arrived damaged. They notified us immediately and had a 2 unit shipped, checked and ready for delivery 2 days later. The person delivering was very experienced and knowledgable. Just as important he was personable and very careful when removing the old refrigerator as well as installing the new unit. He checked the operation thoroughly, while explaning the various operating features. Then cleaned the new frog and cleaned up everything. Everything was very professional - as expected. Have used Coastal Matag over the years for appliance services and repair with the same kind of experience. Youre treated like family. Highly recommend them without reservation.

Coastal Maytag was great. I spent hours with the last order from Sears for appliances and they had to deliver 3 times to get it right , so I decided to try these guys. I had a. Very specific size need for a dryer. They listen got back to me in minutes and said They could deliver in 2 days. The delivery guys were great, neat and took my old one back for free. The delivery guy went over how to operate. It also cost less than Sears because Sears charges you for everything. I saved money and found a wonderful family owned appliance business. Used to be a great local business and convenient for large appliance purchase and repair. Unfortunately, over the past several years, their maintenance/repair service has become abysmal and their excuse has been "were so busy". Most recent incident is I had a service charge waived and six months later they charged my credit card on file for the invoice because they were "cleaning up outstanding balances" without ever sending a follow-up invoice. Bad business practice.

The young man who came to install a new dryer vent for me was wonderful. He went above and beyond, even bringing back a part on his way home to finish the job around 6:30 PM. Most places would have told me theyd be back the next day. Would have given them 5 stars but they screwed up on our first appointment and never showed. They were more than apologetic and came the very next day though.

The salesperson stayed past closing time in order for me to come look at washing machines. He was very knowledgable. Purchased it on a Saturday and was delivered on Monday before 1 pm. Delivery people were super courteous and also spent quite a bit of time showing me how to use the machine and shared tips. One of the easier major purchases Ive made recently.

The gentleman who helped me the day I came in SAVED MY LIFE. I broke an item I had to replace right away and he made it so easy for me. Before going in I called a lowes and a home depot and both told me I was out of luck. At Coastal Maytag I was in and out in 10 minutes. It seemed like he liked his job and his satisfaction showed when he was able to help me out!

A great company to work with on our almost new kitchen. We had a scratch on the new stove and Stan took care of it no problem. The installers showed up a little late but stayed until everything was installed and cleaned up. We ordered new counter tops through Coastal and we are very happy with their subcontractor. Overall a very good experience!

Sorry that I cannot remember the service repairmans name but he was first rate. He called first thing in the morning to give us a time frame when he would arrive. He arrived promptly, was very pleasant, and did an excellent job repairing our freezer. We would highly recommend Coastal Maytag.
