Bought a dishwasher Dec 2014. Had problems right away. GE repaired several times and extended warranty. Now at 2.5 years old the motor has to be replaced. Since I did not purchase extended warranty I am out of luck? Usually when appliances are few years old i add to the house hold coverage plan. GE wont help and better living in Jamesburg got ge to give me the part. GE customer relations already sold me the part so I dont need it. We have purchased many appliances from better living and I felt they should have done more. I will not shop there anymore and I will tell my Friends in the area, many in senior communities in town. The part may not be all that is needed and this dishwasher had been nothing trouble. A real lemon.they dont care. Not their problem. No extended warranty which they like to keep reminding me. Buyer beware of small neighborhood stores they dont have same buying power or customer service. No more ge for me either

After deciding it was time for a complete appliance refresh, we followed advice from family and went here. We purchased a complete suite of KitchenAid appliances, all competitively priced (trust me, we checked). The experience was so much better than the big boxes (particularly PC Richards - hard sell much?) We then came back and bought our LG washer and dryer. Ken has to be the most patient man on earth - he answered all of our questions and concerns, and provided top notch customer service by promptly and completely resolving a couple of issues we had. By the way, the store is so much more than appliances. Ive picked up some accessories for our Weber grill (instead of going to Home Depot, which is closer). And it looks like well be in the market for a new Weber fairly soon ... so yes, well be back!

Excellent family owned hardware, plumbing, electric, auto products, paint and appliance store. Amazingly quick, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. Fast delivery and installation on appliances with great competitive prices. They carry tons of common and unique products/tools that most big box stores dont. They carry air filters, caulk, tarps, vacuum bags, mattresses, Weber grills, snow blowers, lights bulbs, ice melt, rock salt, lawn care products and so much more. You have to come and yourself on what they have. Its incredible how much they have. My to go store before anywhere whenever I need something or have question on home improvements. They also recommend well known electricians, painters, handymans, landscapers and plumbers. They are a unbeatable store for sure.

I would urge anyone contemplating a appliance purchase from Better Living to comparison shop.I have found their prices to be on average 15 to 20 % higher than other retailers. So how do they survive you may ask? They have several exclusive contracts with retirement communities in the area to supply basic appliances and charge what ever they want for upgrades. In essence capitalizing on a trusting demographic that sometimes lack the ability or skill to effectively comparison shop or negotiate,instead trusting community managers or co op heads recommendations. I for one despise Better Living taking advantage of their elder neighbors under the guise of the friendly family owned store. Buyer beware.

My parents ordered washer and dryer from this store, after the huge fiasco with the delivery from the major chain store. We went to the store and the salesman, Barry, was very knowledgeable and helped us select good appliances. However, the delivery team really surprised us. The team was prompt and arrived at the start of two hour window, that the store gave us. Within 15 minutes they brought the appliances on the second floor, installed them and removed the old ones. They tested the appliances and ensured my parents understood how they worked. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! If you leave near Jamesburg, this is the place to go for new appliances!

Great home town family business. Good everyday prices, much quicker and easier than driving 20 minutes to the large stores. Buy all my appliances there. Always will beat competitors pricing on appliances with easy delivery communication compared to larger stores. Have almost anything you need.
