Check the dates on everything in this store! The sale prices do not match the register prices! To make it short, go somewhere else! Was brought here to get a few things to make dinner., etc. Thought I was getting a deal on the orange juice but did not realize it expired the day I brought it, which was today! Bet, it is still on sale tomorrow with the same date as today. Meat and produce quality is so so. You have to look at it carefully! When paying for my items had a slight problem. The cashier said something and then started pointing. I had no idea what she was saying. When I asked her what she was saying, she had no idea what I was talking about. They dont thank nor greet customers as well. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else where they appreciate your business!

Typical Extra supermarket the air smells a kin to the slaughter house. If you are looking for ethnic foods and products these is the best place to find them. The produce is average, the meat is at times questionable and the service is the same. Get in get out and watch the parking lot terrible drivers nothing special.

I love shopping at Extra Supermarket on Central Ave in East Orange. They always have fresh produce due to the high volume of turnover they get from local patrons. Prices are well aligned for the community and economy here in East Orange. The checkout attendants are typically super quick.

Very rude and disrespectful. No customer service and treat u like u are nothing. Arguing with you in Spanish bec they know you dont speak Spanish. Very has management, they dont even apologize to you for their employees behavior. Bad place to shop.

Horrid for health conscious folks. In 2016, they dont even sell organic produce! As a matter of fact, some of it had expired! This is a last resort supermarket. Last resort like a Zombie Apocalypse last resort.

If you need ingredients for Caribbean dishes you can get from here. The only downside is its always crowded but the prices arent expensive. Just allow yourself time to shop and stand in lines.
