Dont go here within 30 minutes of closing. I arrived at 9:41pm on a Wed night. Was told I could not go inside because the "registers had closed". The official hours state the store is open until 10pm. All I needed was one small can of raw pumpkin puree. I could have been in and out in 4 mins. Instead, I spent 10 minutes arguing with security. Pioneer: You need to FIX YOUR STATED HOURS. I understand the cashiers want to close up and leave ASAP, but your customers time is valuable too. Turning people away from the door with 19 minutes to spare is just bad business.

This grocery sucks. Youll have an easier time finding Waldo than you do finding organic meat, fruit, & veggie options at this store. If youre less picky about your food options then you probably wont have too much of a problem here. Pro: They always keep the store stocked. Con: There is always an employee stocking things in the aisle or rolling a freight cart around acting like youre in THEIR way. Pro: Hot bar. Pro: Good international aisle. Con: The employee attitudes and seeming unwillingness to assist customers.

Not too expensive, decent fruit and veggie selection. Theres a small taqueria/deli inside, I believe tacos are $2. Check your bags at the front, before entering. 5% senior citizen discount on Wednesdays from 7:30am -1 pm. Free parking in their lot, but its very small. Free delivery for orders over $50. Bushwick market down the street is cheaper, but this is much cheaper than any of the bodegas, especially for sale food. Credit cards accepted, no cash back.

I have stopped going here although it is close to my house because once of the employees - I think he works in meats - will follow me around the store and even stand by my checkout as Im leaving. The last time I had to go in, he stood in the isle and wouldnt let me through until I spoke to him and asked him to move, all the while he stared me down and made me feel so uncomfortable. Other than that, one star because sometimes I get really great deals on produce.

One of the closest supermarkets for me, Pioneer usually offer a wider variety (and quality) of vegetables and fruits compared to other supermarkets in the neighborhood. For the vegetarian/vegan products like almond milk and hamburgers, I find the products more expensive than specialized stores. If you buy more than U$50, you get a free delivery.

The produce is always bad, they actually sell rotten veggies and put them on sale instead of throwing them out. Its disgusting. The managers all have bad attitudes. The food selection is poor. Low-fat and fat-free dont exist in this store. It is a bad experience every time I shop there and I only go when Im in a bind.

I dont want to give this market any stars but I have too. This has to be my worst market I have ever seen . There fruits and vegetables are rotten. Also there staff are just disrespectful. Never gunna waste my time and money here again.

While it was fine for what it is (low end grocery store), we stopped going here due to racist and unequally enforced "rules" (aka, my black husband was always asked to check his bag, while I (white) was never stopped.)

the worst supermarket in the neighborhood. All staff including "managers" walk around like they have a stick up their ass. their customer service sucks. They all need a GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASS.
