Went in with $500 after looking at some of the fixies passing by. Was intent on buying a Steel Framed fixies so I was going through each one as best I could. I asked if I could lift them to get a feel for the weight, was told no. So I spent about 10 minutes looking at each bike in detail. I take bikes seriously and was wanting to add a nice fixie my collection. Anyways after 10 minutes he yell out "excuse me! You gonna buy something or keep wasting my time.". I told him I had planned to, had cash on me but I would go somewhere else. Im by no means "soft" like the other reviews imply we might be. Im a 6 year veteran and ride more miles on bikes in a week than most people are willing to drive. There is no excuse for treating a customer like that, buying a bike isnt like shopping for a shirt and if hes so concerned with watching the front he should hire someone to look after it or knock out the wall.

Over all the stores quality is very good. There is, however, the problem with the owner being VERY argumentative. I originally asked for my bike to be ready a week from when my wife dropped it off. When I called about it, he told me that wasnt what I had said. He said it would be ready a week later. When I went to pick it up today I noticed that he hadnt finished the work Id asked for. I had asked for a new set if brake handles to be placed near the handlebars. He insisted that my wife hadnt asked for those despite her having read the text message with a list of the repairs (all of which, except for that he got.) When i asked if he wanted to see the text message I had sent with the list he said, "you didnt send me a text message.". WTF A fair bet that I will never be back. I encourage you to avoid this place too.

Came to get my chain shorten for my bmx as the wheel was barely grabbing the dropouts which only need a link or two off, but when i came to him , he responded very unfriendly and Says it wasnt "possible" to shorten it anymore and it being pure bmx frame it only accept small 23 and 8 sprockets sizes, so either he doesnt know much about bmx or didnt want to bother, I ultimately when to another local shop and got it done under 30min same day, so I dont know whats his deal his, am not asking for a royal treatment but if you have business , am sure your supposed to greet those who greet with you respect and vice versa, and you leave as a happy customer and pass it , but anyways would not recommend unless you were so desperate

First thing he says when i walk in is "what do you want". Thats no way to treat a customer that might actually buy many things and help you keep your business up. Almost everything is extremely over priced like a set of just cheap brake levers for almost $40. I might be a bit cheap but i know thats way overpriced. So i told him that might be a little too much and I asked about some baskets and he replied with " theyre $25, let me know if thats too much for you before i take them out". Most disrespectful owner Ive ever seen at a bike shop.

Ive been going to that bike shop on and off for over 2 decades and the owner was rude and unprofessional at times but I let it go.Recently went to exchange a brand new inner tube with receipt for a better one and pay the price difference but he would not do it and of course got nasty.I know anybody can have a bad day but he needs to get the stick out of his ass.He seems to not care that customers keep him in business.

The guy who helped,was supposed to fix my kids bike,wich he didnt but charge me for it,i called him to let him know that I had the same problem still but instead he started yelling saying that he did what he was supposed to do meaning that he was not going to do anything about it,or at least for free. SOO RUDE. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. I would give him --10

Whatever you guys say is bs all the other bike shops in town suck this one is the only one that has what I need so what if its expensive all of you just want deals or stuff for free bike world sucks just bmx sucks thats why its gone this place is the best in town and if hes rude to you its because you were rude first or asked a dumb question.

The reading all the reviews I can understand why. The guys a jerk its amazing hes been in business this long the only reason why I called after reading all the reviews was because he was the closest to me but thats okay he lost my business today and for good. Ill just go to bike world quite a bit further away from me but worth every mile

John is the best. He has no time for people that dont know bikes. Hes knowledgable and has been doing business forever. If you are one of the many reviewers that feel like you had your feelings hurt...he defititely doesnt sell diapers or panties. Being nice is something stupid people do to hedge their bets. Big ups to First Choice.

All you fragile people, giving bad reviews, who obviously are accustomed to being babied need to relax. John runs one of the longest standing bike shops in town. He is still in business for very good reasons. His tune ups are great, his prices are great. So get a grip you delicate, fragile, spineless, complainers.

This place has been in that location for a very long time but they never seem to have any customers. I used to live near this shop and Id go there for little stuff for my kids" BMX bikes and they treat you like youre just waiting for the opportunity to steal something. Its a mystery how they stay open.

The owner could teach you how not to run a business......he was rude and condescending while I was being nice and friendly. It is obvious he does not need the money but instead he needs a place where he could vent with his bad personality. This place gives good retailers in Vegas a very bad name...

This is one of the best bike mechanics in town, he may gruff but he is really a great guy/ I have brought my bike in numerous times and he has always fixed it promptly no two or three or day wait even for minor repairs like the other bike shops in town

Just called this place to ask about Stans No Tube kit kits as they are listed as a dealer. The guy who answered the phone was no understandable and he couldnt understand what I was saying. Dont bother with this place.

I been there plenty of times buying parts but mostly tubes....hes attitude is for sure one of the worst specially as a business owner, manager, clerk, mechanic and cashier!!
