I used to love Scout when it was brand new and it still is a decent place to buy/sell/trade your clothing items, but honestly just isnt what it used to be. Lately, I have been having issues with the store because I have been opting to donate the items that they did not find eligible for resale in the store. I have done a lot of business at Scout over the years and have noticed many items I have donated and received no compensation for appearing on their regularly priced racks. At first, I wasnt too concerned because I understand accidents happen and whatnot. However, this has happened several times now and, after discussing my frustrations with friends of mine, they too have noticed this happening to them as well. I am writing this review in hopes to direct new customers not donate items to Scout for free because there are other organizations which are more transparent in what happens with donated items (e. g. Project Hope, Womens United Ministries, Humble Lily Thrift Store, etc.). In addition, those looking to sell their vintage items should check out Lions Mane Vintage because I have had a better experience selling vintage items there all-around.

This place is SHAAAADy. The owner is beyond rude and let her ego get to her head. I have traded some stuff there and got underpaid for them. The employees said they would "donate" the rest of my stuff they didnt want, but thats code for we are just gonna sell it for profit in our store. The prices are ridiculous. What happened to the charming little thrift shop just around the corner? Cant believe this place is actually popular. Ill stick to the original thrift shops thank you very much.

I brought in 7 bags full of clothes, shoes, purses, accessories, etc. They took 3 shirts out of all 7 bags! Which I would have been fine with if the girl behind the counter hadnt balled up all of the clothes she took out and just threw them back in. Everything I had brought in was folded and organized! I had better luck at platos! And the people at platos seemed a lot more friendly.

Terrible customer service! We went in at a few minutes after 6:30 and were rudely informed that they stop trading at 6:30. I guess they are too busy "closing down" the store to do business while they are still open. This put a bad taste in our mouth so we instead donated the clothes to the good will. We dont need stores with customer service like this!

Super hip clothes at super reasonable prices. Not a MASSIVE selection, but I almost always walk out with a new favorite something. And thats just guy stuff -- way more for the ladies, one of whom Im waiting for from the dressing room now. They gave me a free doughnut while I wait too! Dont think thats standard though...

The cashier was very nice. But I brought in never-worn items, that in my humble opinion would have fit with their mostly hipster theme. Some clothes even still had the tags on them -- and I was told all of my clothes had "wear issues" If you want to be a repeat of the Flying Worm, youre on your way there

I love coming into Scout: Dry Goods & Trade. I can always find something I need to add to my closet or house and the price is right. I also know that what I buy here is high quality and stylish. The staff is great too. They are nice and friendly and willing to give you advise on how to style an outfit.

Great finds of newer and older clothes and accessories at a reasonable price! Scout does a fab job of providing a place to reuse-recycle ( yay for not littering old fabric across our planet!), look good, and maintain a unique style (not just the latest trend that will be over before you know it).

Kind of a rip off. Took all my in style name brand clothing which was about 5 pairs of high quality shorts, a dress and I think 3 of my shirts. The shorts I sold were definitely one of a kind and high quality style and fabric and all I got was $17. For all of it. Regret selling my clothes here.

If you are looking to sell items your best bet it to do it on your own online. Their style is geared more towards hipsters and they do not follow trends that are currently in fashion. I would only come here to buy parts of a Halloween costume.

Im so sad that I waited so long to shop here. Great customer service and great finds during the dollar sale. Im definitely coming back since I found some great stuff in the bins. Ill try to come earlier next time for the dollar stuff!

Cute set of vintage shops with one location on each side of the street. Didnt have much time to hunt but did find a really amazing picnic basket for about half the price of the same one I found at hutch a few days prior.

This is a great store for finding hidden treasures and bargains for both men and women. The staff are super friendly and the prices are really cheap. Its usually nice and quite too, so youre not fighting over the rails.
