My son and I drove to Raytown because this location had something we needed. The store is clean and well kept overall (the areas we were in) except for the outdoor garden area. It was pretty rough looking. Anyway, we found the items we needed quite easily but we needed several of one item and only a few were stocked on the shelf. We could see more stock on the rack above so we used the department call button to ask for assistance. It took a couple minutes for someone to arrive but no big deal. We looked at a couple other things while we waited. A young associate arrived just ahead of a gentlemen who looked to be the manager. They cleared the call button and we explained what we needed. Here is where things took a turn; the presumed manager gave me an incredulous look and walked over to the shelf. He asked several times what we needed. Each time I told him what it was, pointed to the last few on the shelf, and then pointed to the pallet above with many more that I was hoping someone could get down for us. He frowned and said he would have to get a forklift. I said we could wait and he frowned again as he walked away. We waited a while longer and after about 10 minutes I told my son we could leave and try another store (managers attitude didnt sit well with me). My son talked me into waiting. Wait we did, another 5-10 minutes. Eventually the forklift came into view and the same gentleman brought down the additional stock. He did flippantly apologize for the wait but was in no hurry at any point to get the job done. Hopefully he was just having a rough day and our experience is the exception.

Horrible customer service. The store manager was less than helpful. We waited an hour for them to find the stuff we were buying after we told them to take it to the front when we walked in gave them 30 minutes to bring it up and they didnt do that. They dont care they are wasting your time or money. Would not recommend coming to this store for anything. Would give 0 stars if I could. They went to load our stuff and part of it started falling off the fork lift so I ran over grabbed it so it wouldnt fall on the ground no one seemed to care at all. Will never come back to this place again. Customer service guy totally sucked was rude and was pissed off when I asked why it was taken so long after an hour. I was told to wait outside by the loading door and they told me if I was inside then I would of heard them trying find them on the radios. Uh what??? Yeah your an idiot!

Sad store trying to compete with nearby Home Depot and Lowes. Prices are reasonable, stock is iffy, employees are okay. If you are passing by and need some home improvement items its worth a look but not a store you go out of your way to visit.

Wish they kept longer hours but I shop here a lot. I like not having to drive far out of my way from Raytown. The prices and selection and reasonable compared to Westlake.

This is easily the best Sutherlands Ive ever been to. The vanity cabinets are real plywood, not chipboard. Big store with nice selection of just about everything.
