Frustrating experience trying to get info on a home package. Wont release materials included unless you go to the store, which happens to be an hour and a half away through Houston. After talking to the store twice, called corporate, thinking store was mistaken. Corporate said people would be fired if they did release it. Another corporate rep said Id need to buy the blueprint first. Unbelievable. Its a thousand-square-foot cabin; not the Taj Majal. Youre either competitive or youre not. You either place customer service as a priority or you dont. Simply wanted to know what Im getting for my money, what the package includes without having to make a three-hour trip. Called 84 Lumber, Menards comparing home packages they offer, no problem. Emailed detailed info immediately so we could make an informed decision and then followed up to ask if we had questions. This was the first of five were building as rentals on our property. Tried to do business, but they werent interested. Need to rethink your sales strategies/policies, Sutherlands. Your competitors left you in the dust on this one.

Sutherlands is an interesting place in todays world. It feels like a small old school hardware store. There is something nice about going here instead of home depot. The people arent always the best, but they are more likely to know whats going on. I was also able to get things here I couldnt get in home depot without ordering online, which was nice.
