I would have given a zero if possible. Below is a letter I sent to both John (my sales rep) and Lou (who seems to be the head honcho). I sent this letter two days ago and still have not even received a courtesy response. Not a "were sorry for your inconvenience" or anything. Rude and disrespectful of their customers. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. Maybe it was my dealings with an inept salesperson and someone else would have been better? No idea, but not attempting to find out. John, It is now 10 days later than when I came in to visit you regarding purchasing the 2011 Hyundai. First, on Friday, you claimed that the finance company was already closed and I would not hear anything until Monday. Interesting, because if you were motivated to sell you would have a finance company available over the weekend, since the majority of your customers would come after normal business hours and on the weekend. Maybe you should rethink that? On Monday afternoon I had to call YOU to be informed that the finance company was supposed to be contacting me for a phone interview. There has been ZERO follow up from you, or the finance company. Your email address states northlandcares, but I call that false advertising. You asked me on Friday if I wanted to give you my $2000 deposit, and I am sure glad that I chose not to do that. Some tips from a buyer...first of all, when I walk in to see you and we have been talking over email or the phone, act like you know who I am. Pretend if you have to. I get it, you have a lot of customers. Act like you care about the one right in front of you. Also, make sure that you follow up with said customer. Even if they are denied, let them know so they can get the ball rolling with someone else. Funny thing is, when I didnt hear back from you on Tuesday, I went to a different dealership AFTER 6 PM and left in three hours with my new car, financed and all. They have already given me a courtesy call to make sure I love her. It was an easy and stress free transaction, and it was after hours. Crazy, I know. I am person who likes to review companies, bad or good. And sir, I can tell you that you AND Jay Wolfe Used Cars will be getting a bad review from me. I dont know if your behavior was indicative of the entire company, but unfortunately, as a spokesperson for them, they rely on you for their image. Thank you for your time. I appreciate you showing me how car buying should NOT be handled. Sincerely, Angie Martin

I have had the worst luck with my car buying experiences every since my ex wife destroyed my credit. I was always assured of an approval over the phone only to get turned down after hours of waiting! I understood that I needed a down payment but they were always promoting $99 or $199 down so when I asked about it I was told that for my "particular situation" I would need $2500 or more down(I heard them give the same reply to other customers)! I just wanted someone to be straight with me and to not try to put me in a 1993 corsica with 215000 miles on it! Crap cars and bad service is what I encountered until I took one more chance and went to jay wolfe Auto outlet north. I live closer to the blue springs store but they dont have warranties with their vehicles and I have had more than enough people trying to sell me on an as is vehicle. I needed something that would actually live up to my old good credit expectations - a great driving car! As soon as I pulled in the lot I was impressed by the variety of newer cars and suvs they had. This was not your typical buy here pay here - but it wasnt until I was actually able to get an approval in less than 30 minutes and test drive a vehicle that I was sold and will be a customer for life. I actually drove 3 vehicles and my biggest decision was car, truck or suv! The vehicles I drove exceeded my expectations as did the service I received. No b.s or shady sales tactics -just honest answers. I put down $1000 and the payments Lou worked out were affordable which is exactly what we talked about over the phone. I was out of there with my new car in a little over 2 hours. Spare yourself the humiliation of being turned down over and over again like I did. Its a simple process and you are going to really like the quality of vehicle even us bad credit people can get!

I purchased a 2002 Honda Accord from here on September 15, 2016. I needed a commuter car in a hurry after losing my company car and taking a job in town. This was my fault as I should have done more research on the 02 Honda. I asked the salesperson if I could keep the car a few nights and decide but was told that was not an option. About 4,000 miles into owning it a maintenance required light came on. I found that these lights are automatically tripped so did not worry much about it at that time. Then the transmission began to slip in low gears if I did not come to a complete stop. At 7,000 miles the car lost power on the highway causing me to drop from 60mph to 40mph and almost get rear ended. I have found that these Hondas are notorious for transmission issues and it is a known problem to Honda. Any google search will tell you this. The transmission replacement was going to cost 2500-3000 with not much warranty to speak of. I decided to purchase another vehicle from another location as I no longer felt safe in this vehicle. I expressed my concerns to GM Lou S. who indicated since I purchased a vehicle from another location there was nothing he could do for me. This car lasted only 3 months and cost me 5K. I had requested a refund of my sales tax or something to help with the purchase of another car but Jay Wolfe made it clear they would do nothing for me unless I purchased another unreliable piece of junk they sell at this location which I refuse to do. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have a real hard time believing that they were unaware of transmission issues based on the history of this particular year of Honda yet I do believe they will try to make a profit on vehicles that should have been sent to the junk yard. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a vehicle.

Nothing but amazing. Thats not something I would have expected to say about a used car sale purchase but this was a truly a no pressure environment. This place has almost nothing but good reviews which is what lead me here to begin with and reading the only reviewer that gave this place a 1 star it must have been a very unique situation. John was quick to greet us, my girlfriend and myself, at the door and asked us what we were looking for. We quickly got into the details of what we were looking for and explained our situation. He explained what cars were options for us. Three cars fit the bill a Civic, a Malibu and an Acura 3.2 TL. We looked at all three and decided to take the Acura for a test drive. We decided to purchase it and went through financing which both Kimberly and Karen did an excellent job with. All friendly and again no pressure. I mention that because its very important to me, Ive been in pressured sales situations and my advice is always to walk away. Just curious on the price of the vehicle when I got home I checked Kelly Blue Book and Jay Wolfe sold the vehicle to us for LESS then the suggested price. This place takes care of their customers, so expect my repeat business. Im sure every experience cant be the same but let me highlight below why I think this is a good place to start if youre looking for a car. Highlights: - Friendly - No Pressure - Honest (The Civic had some front-end paint issues and before we even went to look John mentioned this and said they would take care of it if thats the car we chose). - Fair Pricing
